Kirby should have a decent opening. I think it'll be along the lines of Captain Toad, but it'll probably sell more in the long run...because it's Kirby.

tought that resident evil was alreadly released over there in 2014, maybe was just the ps3 version?
"Hardware design isn’t about making the most powerful thing you can.
Today most hardware design is left to other companies, but when you make hardware without taking into account the needs of the eventual software developers, you end up with bloated hardware full of pointless excess. From the outset one must consider design from both a hardware and software perspective."

There's a pretty big difference. Epic Yarn was released before the holiday season on a popular System. Rainbow curse is released after the holiday season on an unpopular system.
of course it will double and triplicate its first week sales (20-30k), but it will struggle to break the 100k barrier, and forget that it will sell more than Captain Toad which was released before christmas.

It'll be interesting to see the drop LoL has next week, it was advertised as having classic JRPG gameplay, but from what I've read, that's not the case, word of mouth will hurt the game.
Anything lower than 80% will at least mean hope for the game.

One major difference here is that this is a budget title this time. Epic Yarn was full price. The problem with the wii broad audience is that they didn't by that many games. The casuals didn't buy games and alot of the nintendo faithful weren't that enthusiastic to buy games for it because the system did't cater to them as much. The wiiu has way fewer hardware sales but those who own the hardware are more passionate about the system.
It kind of works out like this. The Wiiu will have 25% to 30 % of the wiiu install base but games will sell perhaps at 50% of what they would have sold on wii on average. Of coarse it depends on the game. Some games will actually sell better on Wiiu if they are more hardcore focused such as Xenoblade.
That's a decent first week for Kirby all things considered!

it's a re-release, it was never going to have high sales. Seems 10Kish at best imo. Ken no Machi that high is a pleseant surprise tho.
Surprised that RE Remake got a physical release on PS4. That's not the case in the West, is it?

Its not physical, just a download card, physical is PS3 only.
And yes, the game is download only on the west.
