| Metallox said: I still think it's in development. The fact is, Nintendo announced it to fill the lack of RPGs on Wii U, and why not, to excite the Fire Emblem fans as well. Also, the fact that we haven't seen it since that Direct tells me that the game was practically on a very, very, very early stage of development. And I suppose it's a very complex game to make. I mean, you're working with two franchises, SMT and Fire Emblem. What's the relationship between them? And just look at Yoshi's Wooly World, it was announced in that Direct too, and it's barely launching this year. Same for Xenoblade Chronicles X. Give to SMT x FE developers some time. |
No doubt the game was super early on in devolpment, I'm just a little surprised we havn't see so much as screen shots or a cinnematic for the game yet. I do expect them to announce something about it this year though. IF a Metroid game is in the works, I'm guessing that will be announced for 2016 as well as this.
That does beg the question though, after this year, what does Nintendo have left in its big bag of tricks? Shin Megami Tensei x Fire Emblem, Metroid, and Devil's Third are all thats coming to mind for possible 2016 releases. 2014 and 2015 both have had/are going to have a lot of Nintendos star players coming out. Maybe we'll get to see another new IP or two. That would be pretty amazing.
