Forums - Sony - PS3 will get a 2015 pricecut?

@kbg29 Thats a good theory, but could'nt Sony do both, i mean push PSNow on developed markets with great conecctions and push the PS3 hardware for the rest of the world?

Besides, remember, PSNow will be out on the PS3 too.

I think both PS3 & PS4 will receive price drops this year

I would say it should get some kind of price cut (I think the PS4 will too) but I'm not sure it'll happen with the PS3, so they can still make as much money as possible still.

I think they do the right thing, ps3 is usefull in so many ways, more than ps4. It can pkay your ps1 games for example and free online gaming. Its the last multiplat console having free online.

It should. The 360 and Wii are kinda dead now, and I expect the same to happen to the PS3 this year, so I'm not sure if a price cut will help.

The PS2 was already $99 at the same point and time. The system definitely needs a price drop.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

I really hope so. PS3 is, in terms of electronics, ancient technology, there should be a 12GB SKU for $149.99 and a 500GB SKU for $199.99 at this point.

Xbox One - PS4 - Wii U - PC

Release a PS now version for 99 bucks.. Oh wait that's PS tv

PS3 is still worth that price.People should not complaining and just pay for the quality if you want it.Everyone should already own the best console of last generation anyway.

I think Sony's agenda is going to be pushing Playstation Now over trying to sell more PS3 units. There is a much larger market, and it is the future of the platform. I think Sony is going to put more focus on getting PS4 units in houses as it is X86 based. This will allow them to transition to new hardware while continuing to build on their OS and software.

If that's there plan they've got alot of improving to do with PS Now first. I'm hearing that alot of people are still having latency issues, plus the PS Now library only has like 100 games right now. If they plan to push PS Now instead of dropping the PS3's price then they need to lower the latency more and at least triple the size of the PS Now's game library by the end of 2015.

PSNow has nothing to do with PS3's price at all.Why would it? PS3 is old and outdated hardware.Of coure PSNow need simprovement,it just eleased.
