Can you tell the difference between 30fps and 60fps when you play video games?

Yes, I can. 308 80.42%

No, I cannot. 75 19.58%

Total:383

Yes. Before I didn't think it made much of a difference but it actually does.

Barely notice it if I don't directly change the framerate, I do notice the graphical sacrifice more though. Except shooters most games are great on a stable 30fps.

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar

One is 60fps and the other is 30fps.

Good luck.

I can see easily the difference, as many others I see. Still this is a silly comparison and I'll tell you why:

See this video? Can you tell the difference? I could use this to say the WiiU is as capable as the Ps4, but we both know it's not true. The Ps4 version looks similar because the game was originally designed for WiiU. The same way Dark Souls II was originally designed for 30fps, so it looks only maginally better on 60fps. When you have fast-paced games like Smash Bros, Mario Kart or Bayonetta the difference between 30pfs and 60fps means a lot. If you look at classic arena multiplayer shooters like Quake3 or UT, 60fps is a must: those games are nearly unplayable at 30fps.

The whole argument of 30 vs 60fps is silly. 60fps is objectively always a better option when it's possible, but 30fps are just good enough for many types of gameplay, so it's just a matter of game design at the end.

After focusing a good while yes, I can see some differences... But at first, not at all.

And, somehow, nobody seemed to give a crap before this generation rolled in. What does that say, I wonder...

Tell me what you think that says, I'm interested.

I just think some people feel like 60fps is supposed to be an industry standard. Why do you think people began to care for HD when the 360 and PS3 came out? I might be mistaken, though.

I see your point, the ps4 version is a bad port from the Wii U version but besides that, the video is in slowmotion. Speed it up to normal speeds and the difference is minimal.

Yes I can tell the difference.   I'd prefer 60fps only on FPS & fighters, and on other games I prefer they run 30fps and use double the resources to improve the scope of the game rather than frame rate.

My 8th gen collection

Yes, but I'm not uptight about it.

I predict that the Wii U will sell a total of 18 million units in its lifetime.

The NX will be a 900p machine

That's why these videos are half speed... you are supposed to double the speed, it's the easiest way to get to real 60hz-video-streams and double the bandwith (less artifacts) on YouTube.

And of course the differences in this video are minimal... all home console versions of Rayman Legends are 60 fps, even the 360 + PS3.

Yes I can tell the difference, and the difference is especially noticeable for me when playing fast-paced games or games with lots of animations. Personally speaking (and in a general manner, because there exceptions to this), in most games I prefer that the developers focus more on achieving 60 FPS as opposed to increasing the resolution or on-screen effects.
