Forums - Gaming - What's your excuse?

PS4. Next gen Playstation, but I wasn't going to get it until enough games that interested me were out. I thought Dragon Age Inquisition was going to be GotY so I purchased it then. Turns out Inquisition was a pos imo and the only games I have on my PS4 are The Last of Us, Diablo 3, and Infamous that I like.

After getting the PS4 I've been trashing it for having no games, a pathetic battery life for the controllers, and functions on PSN that were also on the PS3 that don't work as well as they did on the PS3. Why does receiving a message on the PS4 take a good 10-20 minutes before you can read it?

3DS. Lords of Shadow Mirror of Fate plus other future announcements. After purchasing the 3DS it has been rather disappointing because there's not really too many good games on the system compared to the PSP or the DS.

Vita. Uncharted Golden Abyss, Wipeout 2048, future games like Unit 13, Gravity Rush, and the cancelled Warrior's Lair, plus the assumption that it'd be as amazing as the PSP. Suffice to say. I'm disappointed with how things have turned out with this portable as well.

Wii U. I don't have it yet, but I'll eventually get it. I want to get it because it's the only console right now that has good games that aren't ports and there are more games on it that interest me, I'm just cheap and I think it's too overpriced. I had the chance to get it with Super Mario 3D World around Black Friday with Super Mario 3D World but I thought I'd be enjoying the PS4 more than I am now. Now I'm not getting it until I can get that kind of deal again.

PS4: I don't give a shit about gaming on the PC, I definitely don't want to miss this gens ND games, I like a good JRPG once in a while and the PS4 is most likely to get the most console JRPGs, I don't want to have to be worried every time a new 3rd party game is announced, if I'll be able to play it on my system, Sony is more likely to take some risks with their first party games, I like that.

I got a Wii U because I knew Nintendo would deliver

- Sold Wii U

I got a PS4 because Nintendo failed to deliver

Got a Wii U again for Smash Bros

Atari: Yar's Revenge
Nintendo: Final Fantasy
Genesis: Phantasy Star 2 and this commercial: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k7nsBoqJ6s8 fucking Michael Jackson is a smooth mofo
SNES: Super Mario World
Sega CD: Sonic CD, Snatcher, Lunar
32X: Just to have my Genesis in its ultimate form. Too bad the Mega Drive adaptor didn't fit on top. That would have been Beast Mode.
Sega Saturn: My friend got it early, because Sega released it early without telling anyone (Sega is silly like that) and I played Panzer Dragoon on it.
PSX: To play Final Fantasy and the RPGs
Dreamcast: "It's Thinking" OMG, just my own personal hype. Best Console Ever....
PS2: Nothing else to play games on.
Xbox : HDTV orgasmic experience and fucking tits: http://youtu.be/JkVCst0EYmM
GameCube: To test my new Sony HDTV out some more.
Gameboy Advance: Advance Wars. That game was so fucking good.
Xbox 360: Saw a line standing outside of Target and wanted to fit in.
PS3: To register my user name on the console before some else steals it. When they announced Home, I thought it was going to be the new killer app and I needed to secure my name in virtual space. They also announced the removal of BC and I needed to scramble to get me an old fatty.
NDS: Flash card
PSP: Emulation. Ultimate handheld ever.
PSV: OLED goodness
3DS: Buy every edition I can to sell for more monies later.
PS4: Just to satisfy my need for having the latest and greatest.
Xbone: TV input with snap, best idea in console gaming. Have always wished I could play my 360 and watch Ancient Aliens/Ice Road Truckers/Axe Men or Netflix at the same time.

Thats a lot of excuses.

Wii: I really wanted to play Xenoblade
DS: Pokemanz. All day, everyday.
PS4: It's the goddamn PS4, do i even need a reason?
New Gaming laptop (PC): My old one, an ASUS from 2009, finally gave out (overheating/damaged GPU, will fix it when possible) I had $1k from some assistance my parents get from their job towards my school so I took the plunge. Probably bought it overpriced and i could have made something better with half of that but I didn't want a desktop and I needed a laptop. Runs any game at the moment (newer games like dragon age slow down a bit in ultra)

Launch PS3 because I finally wanted to play and own Final Fantasy games on my own. Before that I was always mooching off my friends. First game I played and loved on my PS3 was FFXII.

PS4 because numerous console exclusives. Most pressing was Infamous. I got my PS4 launch day but Infamous would've been the latest moment to get it.

Wii U basically because Xenoblade and Bayo2. MK8 was the trigger though. I don't regret the purchase but I still regret that I am forced to play the games on that console.

Vita because actually I don't know anymore. Probably another try by me to get into a system that's clearly not for me. But I give it all the credit in the world because as far as consoles go this one is probably the most balanced and best thought through console of all time. Really a shame that it's not build for my hands.

PS Vita TV because I like the Vita, but like big screens and proper controllers even more.
