Well I doubt they'd do that but they could make Bravely series into Final Fantasy (like the good ones :P) for Nintendo platforms. I mean, if they can make good money on them why not?

Plus, Zelda is not an rpg. So yeah |
By the time all of that release, wii u will also get it's share of rpgs

Kingdom Hearts is clearly an action rpg. The Witcher I never played and admittedly only included it because most people consider it an rpg. So I'll leave it as "not sure".
Zelda is nothing like an rpg. There are barely any rpg elements even. It's not a matter of "true rpg", it's a whole other genre =P

Wii u lacking a turn based rpg is just sad.
Nintendo has failed on console rpgs since snes so i disappointed but not shocked.

The Witcher is definitively a RPG. It's the kind of D&D adventure but with an established character, and the ability to influence the combat by using stances, magic, alchemy and so on, instead of the invisible dice roll whenever everyone swings a sword.

to be fair you were not specifc on the year. It sounded like you meant the entire gen.

but all those games were made by Ninty themselves, so it was expected when they were abandoned that they werent going to get anything for a while at least. Hell there own Mario RPG wasnt even made by them
OT i woudnt really hold my breath. The big games in the genre, (your FFs, KHs, Personas, Tales) arent going to Wii U and the not so big ones (your Bravely what have you) seem to be going to 3ds. Whatever WIi U gets will come from Ninty themselves or indies it seems.
It just occurred to me how ironic this problem is:
To my knowledge, Nintendo is the only of the big three with a first party open world RPG franchise (Xenoblade Chronicles), much less multiple RPG franchises. Unless I missed something with Sony and MS?

I...think you're right? I mean, Xenoblade, Fire Emblem, Paper Mario, Golden Sun, The Last Story, Pandora's Tower, Mario & Luigi, Mother and Pokemon. I don't think either of the others have 1st party RPG franchises.
I really wish we'd see all of these appear on the Wii U (well, except Mario & Luigi, that's always been a handheld series). Nintendo have the IPs necessary to build a solid RPG library for the console, they just need to take the time to develop them.
