Forums - Gaming - Regarding Bayo2 sales...

Why is that non-Nintendo players are the ones worryed about Nintendo and Bayonetta2 sales?

You do know it's a niche game on a console with a small userbase right? yet I believe it's still outselling Bayo1 on PS3 and X360 when comparing the same timeframe isn't it?

And I like the "3rd parties should know not to make WiiU games" argument. I mean I look at the vgchartz tables and most PS4 games, outside of the usual suspects (the high-budgeted, high-marketed and high probile ones), have horrible sales numbers on the US. And that is with a console with twice the userbase!

Drive club, Dragon Age, Evil Within, Knack, Wolfenstein, LBP3, WWE15, Madden15, Thief, UFC, Alien Isolation, and so on, although being on a much higher userbase console, heavier marketing costs, price cuts (not all of them), some are mainstream/non-niche type of games, and yet tey also show weak sales on the US? And Bayo2, the niche game for the niche console like many say, is the one doing bad?

What gives people?

Because they blindly try to call down what they can't have.

They're too stupid to understand that the attach rate on the Wii U is sill way higher than Bayo 1 for Xbox and Playstation.

Wii U fans: "I'm enjoying this good game. Thank you, Platinum Games."

PS4/Xbox One fans: "Ha! Graphics! Sales! I can't have the game so it sucks!"

Who has the kiddy fanbase again?

I know. It's like, why are people on a sales website interested in sales? IT IS A MYSTERY.

Because Nintendo fans keeps debating and creating topics about it, let it die, and they won't have anything to say.

I don't see the people who own Bayonetta 2 bitching.

I see see the people who can't have it bitching.

Im fine with Bayo 2 as is. Its a great game and i think sales are fine. I dont think PG had to sell millions to profit and i think people are lucky to have a sequel in the first place. With Nintendo funding it, it probably made it very risk free for PG.

However, i think a lot of MSFT/Sony people are concerned because there is more Bayo fans on those consoles and probably upset with how things played out. As things stand there is 2m people who bought Bayo on XB/PS and about 500k on Nintendo.   So there is more Bayo fans on other consoles as things stand right now

Again, im happy with Bayo 2 as is, but i believe that is the reason why.

Maybe you should buy Bayonetta, then!

This is simple. This is a site devoted for sales discussion. It doesnt matter what platform is.

Bayonetta 2 (<135k) did less than half of what Bayonetta (140k on PS3, 209k on 360) did in the same time. Bayonetta 2 was also released during the holidays.

The userbase argument doesn't work for games with smaller audiences.
