Forums - Nintendo - I might just have to buy Bayonetta 2

It's not really hectic. It's just Bayo noobs getting hectic. In fact it has a very deep and rich combat system with need for good timing. And that is something that makes playing it again actual fun.

The game is very replayable, 4 unlockable characters, many different kinds of weapons for different play styles.

I wish it were even more repetitive, the game has more exploration and cut scenes than what I like in an action game.

Well Sound, if you really have other stuff to play for a while, don't buy the game until it prices drops. But if you somehow enjoy it and want to see a sequel, get it now while sales still relevant.

Sincerely, you will beat it two times at least, but after that probably won't be coming back, it's not really MK8 or Smash Bros replay value, but you probably know it already.

By your rule of 10 retail games, yeah buy it.

Yes, I do have plenty of stuff to play at the moment. I play games slow-paced so they take me a while. I'm not the type to buy a game full price for the sake of helping sales. I buy nearly all my games now on eBay for cheaper price

Yeah, I realize that. That's why I'm not sure yet. It does come with 2 games though so that's a +

Just to clarify, it's 10 games forever not just this year. (If that wasn't clear)

Technically, the game is inherently repetitive since all beat em ups are, but I was never bored with it. I never thought "Man, I'm tired of taking down all these enemies constantly" because it always feels fresh through new combos, weapons, enemy/enviornment variety, etc.

And this is coming from someone who's not the biggest fan of these types of games.

Thanks for the answers

If you can buy all the weapons, costumes, abilities, and Pure Platinum every trophy on its hardest setting on your first playthough, you'll have to record it. You will be the first person in history to do it. If you're not a completionist, the online should also be enough for you to come back to the game several times.

Yeah, I'm really not the completionist type, I'm a casual scrub.

Online mode?

ha ha ha ha... Now that sounds like you.. So buy it, there will be no other better Action Game around to beat Bayonetta, not in the Wii U. Probably there will not be plenty of stuff to come to the Wii U that is gonna appeal to you anyway.

Definitely get it. Every Wii U owner needs this game. It is one of the best!

You should buy it. The whole game is as hectic as the demo. Easily one of my favorite games on the console.

Does it get repetitive though? (like most beat em ups) (be honest)

There are not many boss battles like in the first game, neither puzzles that relax the pace; Bayonetta 2 consists basically in combats, combat after combat. Enemies are varied though and those ones from Inferno are pretty though. However, during a first playthrough the average player will just mash buttons, so in the end of the day, if you aren't very expert in action games, you could see yourself doing the same thing over and over. Even then, I recommend holding combos so every battle can feel different.

My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.

There's one called Tag Climax, it's basically a co-op mode where you fight enemies and bosses from the main game, the player that gets the biggest quantity of points (halos), wins. You can bet halos to increase the competition. Although it's a bit complex, if you don't know how to hold and do movements you could lose every time.

Sounds alright but I might not be into it
