I just bought an Xbox One. Should I try it out?

I think it's worth a try, especially if you like action-adventure/hack & slash games. Although I'd be hesitant to recommend buying it since I really wouldn't be surprised if it ends up on GWG sooner or later.

As much as I love the Xbox One third party games right now, Ryse is one game that needs to be put in the bargain bin with Knack. Those two were the lowest of their initial exclusive launches.

I too don't understand the excessive and harsh bashing of Knack: I haven't liked platformers anymore for decennia now, but from what I saw in videos, I find Knack appealing, it looks like a good 3D action-platformer also aimed at people that didn't ever like or don't like anymore classic 2D ones (in this last case maybe because they played so many of them in the 80's and early 90's to be almost sated with them, and maybe, like in my case, having loved them but always utterly sucked at them, spending an awful lot of money playing them in arcades).

Stwike him, Centuwion. Stwike him vewy wuffly! (Pontius Pilate, "Life of Brian")

TGS, Third Grade Shooter: brand new genre invented by Kevin Butler exclusively for Natal WiiToo Kinect. PEW! PEW-PEW-PEW!

When I read the headline I hoped it was about all those great and different games PSN games that Sony publish. Echochrome, Hohokum, Journey, Murasaki Baby, Rime....

Don't copy random editorials.

IMO, from what I have played -

Driveclub - massively underrated

Last of Us - about right

inFamous Second Son - slightly overrated

And it would be nice if you included Nintendo in the OP in the future, just to get the full picture

How does Sunset Overdrive only have 80 meta? Really underrated. Same goes for Forza Horizon 2, my personal game of the year for 2014. If Halo MCC didn't have the issues it had at launch it would've deserved 90+ easy. 4 Halo games for €60 and it's rated lower than any of the 4 separately.

And what others said, inFamous First Light is a separate game, lolz!

It's a standalone release, both digital and retail. Why wouldn't it? It's not like it adds much to the chart in the way of sales. It even lowers the average score for PS4.

True, but it's such a small game. For example: if MGS GZ released after MGSV I wouldn't have called it a separate game too, but it didn't sadly. I know it's standalone, but I'm just not convinced.

So...now games aren't considered "games" because of their length? So let me check my checklist of what isn't considered a game, according to people such as yourself (Hardcore gamers):

1) If it's too cinematic it's a movie not a game

2) Indies are not games

3) If it's not super long then it can not be considered a game.

Should I add anything else?

No, it's like I said earlier. It's because it has the same gameplay engine as Second Son and it released within a year of the main game. For that reason I will call it ''Standalone DLC''.

The lenght comment was a little out of place, sorry.

That score for KI isn't fair given how much the game has changed since launch. That's like reviewing Walking Dead solely on the first episode.

Killer Instinct is more like a 96 - 97 at this point. :-p

Cool story. The same could be said for a lot of games, such as Driveclub which has gotten considerable improvements since it launched. Doesn't work like that though. It is what it is, and if you enjoy it then more power to you.

But KI that launched feeling like demo.

While other games are mostly being patched for polish, bug fixes, etc.

Driveclub has had tons of content added post release too you know...I don't know if you saying the launch of KI felt like a demo is a good or bad thing....

More than a few characters in a fighter is more pivitol than the additions to Driveclub.

But feel free to disagree.

I disagree. The DLC in Driveclub isn't just more cars/tracks. It also had brand new challenges and trophy's.

Plus in a racing game a new car is basically a new fighter in a fighting game. A new track is a new stage.

does it make me a bad person if Knack is my most played PS4?

The next most played game to it is WWE 2K15

Nobody's perfect. I aint nobody!!!

Killzone 2. its not a fps. it a FIRST PERSON WAR SIMULATOR!!!! ..The true PLAYSTATION 3 launch date and market dominations is SEP 1st
