So...
#1, I'm playing Knack right now - 56/100 is utterly baffling. Deserves 75.
#2, First Light only sold 50k copies...? What the Hell?! And yeah it's a full game, 8 hours and stand alone.
#3, DriveClub, MCC, and any other game with massive updates should have revised reviews.

#1 Agreed
#2 The physical release was only in Europe, and it was marketed more as a digital game, would not surprise me if it had 500k sales.
#3 Agreed to an extent, the only problem with this, is that for the most part gaming journalists are so swamped with work it's impracticle to go back and re-review games

How does Sunset Overdrive only have 80 meta? Really underrated. Same goes for Forza Horizon 2, my personal game of the year for 2014. If Halo MCC didn't have the issues it had at launch it would've deserved 90+ easy. 4 Halo games for €60 and it's rated lower than any of the 4 separately.

And what others said, inFamous First Light is a separate game, lolz!

It's a standalone release, both digital and retail. Why wouldn't it? It's not like it adds much to the chart in the way of sales. It even lowers the average score for PS4.

True, but it's such a small game. For example: if MGS GZ released after MGSV I wouldn't have called it a separate game too, but it didn't sadly. I know it's standalone, but I'm just not convinced.

So...now games aren't considered "games" because of their length? So let me check my checklist of what isn't considered a game, according to people such as yourself (Hardcore gamers):

1) If it's too cinematic it's a movie not a game

2) Indies are not games

3) If it's not super long then it can not be considered a game.

Should I add anything else?

That score for KI isn't fair given how much the game has changed since launch. That's like reviewing Walking Dead solely on the first episode.

Killer Instinct is more like a 96 - 97 at this point. :-p

Cool story. The same could be said for a lot of games, such as Driveclub which has gotten considerable improvements since it launched. Doesn't work like that though. It is what it is, and if you enjoy it then more power to you.

For whatever reason I thought the number included digital sales. So yeah, that number makes sense now.

Unfourtainly alot of bias in the gaming journalism. Knack and killzone are good games and look better than 90% of the games out there

They "look better"? Are you saying look better because you think graphics should be a vital part of the review score, or because you haven't played these games and thus are only going by looks?

Because LOL @ the first, and if the second is the case, it seems you're biased.

Knack and KZ6 are both heavily flawed launch games and were killed for it.

Agreed. Killzone was a really really good shooter and Knack was a great platformer.

Will this ever stop?

I know right. It started out ironically but based on some of the responses in here I think people are actually starting to believe themselves when they say it. Knack is an utterly dreadful platformer, maybe because platformers have become more uncommon these days people have actually forgotten what a good one consists of.....

Dat Driveclub meta. Best racing game i've played in years.

Not likely.

I'll get knack free on ps plus eventually and if it turns out to be fun and a decent game you won't here the end of it off me!

Knack is a very solid game but not a good launch game to show off console "power " thus it was mocked by the " cool kids". Singstar however probably deserves the 4.8 sad to see it pulling down the avg score.

I think people are just bleeding over the fact Knack really isn't a platformer, despite having some platform-ey sections. It's more like a simple character action title, one that can be turned up to a relatively old-school difficulty despite otherwise being family-friendly. IIRC, reviewers panned it for having a predictable story and being too difficult.
