Ive only bought them for collectors purposes, very rarely do I refer to them =P

If you're getting it for that sweet cover and collectors value then go for it. An entire set is worth way more than the parts. Otherwise it isn't worth it these days outside of collectors.
Not anymore IMO, unless you just like their cover and want to put them in a shelf. You can find strat guides more efficiently on the internet nowadays.
