And yet people are still laying down the "flop" card just because It is not a one-million seller. Remember guys, numbers don't really matter as long as there is PROFIT.

The first bayonetta didnt profit and i sold much more than this. It is a flop.

Do you really think that Nintendo believed this game was going to sell 5 millions or something when the first sold 2 millions on 5 years with 160m userbase? Because a game is a flop when sells less than expected, and is selling almost the same as Bayonetta 1 on 360 with 10% of the userbase! So it can not be a flop, and can sell on the 12 months of 2015 the same than on the 3 months on 2014 or even more.

You are comparing aligned time frames for Bayo 2 on WiiU and Bayo 1 on 360, right?

The WiiU didn't have only 10% userbase (8 million vs. 80 million), it had over 20% of the 360-userbase (8 million WiiUs late 2014 vs. less than 40 million 360s early 2010).

And Bayonetta 2 had some additional advantages which skew the comparison: a big publisher behind it with all its PR power, the bundled-in Bayonetta 1 (almost) for free and no competition of similar games on that platform.

Still at 0.91m at xbox 360 with 80m userbase nowadays and that´s with a global critic aclamation and good marketing.

Bayonetta 2 won't come close to the sales of the 360 version alone. It won't even have half the sales of Bayonetta 1. Doesnt that say something?

Oh, do you were actually thinking that a game that sells 1m on a console with 80m is going to sell 2-3 on a console with 9m?.... No it doesn´t say nothing to me, if anything, says that the ratio of WiiU owners with Bayonetta 2 is way over the ratio of Xbox360 and ps3 owners with bayo 1.

Tells me that it still has a higher attach rate compared to the Xbox.

Nope, I definitely didn't think that. I never expected it to sell well so the recent NPD just confirms my expectations.

Oh it's the "ratio" move.

Amazing achievement in its own right. I'm sure Nintendo and Platinum are celebrating the high attach rate of their games.
