Don't worry; one way or another, it's happening. One of the guys in our campaign for localization is already working on a translation; once the Wii U is hacked, we'll be able to bypass region lock and play with a subtitle patch, just like with Fatal Frame 4 on Wii. It might take some time, but we'll get there, if necessary.

You prepared to hack your WII U or will you get your tech savvy friend to do it ? XD

Not me personally, I'm absolutely hopeless when it comes to hands on tech tinkering, I'd wreck the bloody thing, haha. I do have a few more hands-on acquaintances though, which is how I got a modded Wii for FF4. ;)

I'll probably end up buying a cheap-arse 8GB Basic Wii U for modding, to avoid risk to my main system.

Game to movie adaptions are almost always awful. This is amplified by the fact that it is a horror game to movie. Real horror movies are harder to come by and I really don't think it will sway Nintendo to bring FFV. FFV might come later on for other reasons but not a movie.

The movie probably won't be an adaption of the game; the Japanese version wasn't, it was essentially a spinoff that borrowed some elements but had a completely new story.

@Bold Hahaha, that is awesome ...

Wow, you really are afraid of doing some tinkering to the point where you fear your system getting bricked ...

For every system I've come acrossed, I ended up modding them ... LOL

As to the original question, I sincerely hope so, though I'm starting to feel like we're going to have to attain this one through hacking Wii U, like with Fatal Frame 4.

Go for it. Nintendo's just dragging its feet on this one.

I'm okay waiting or just watching a Let's-Play. Nintendo's loss.

Trust me, as soon as the option is available, I will go for it.

Still have to wait for the system to be hacked and the translation patch to me made, though.

Nintendo's waiting for the movie I'm pretty sure. Not a bad move but who knows when that's coming out.

I wish you luck.
