With no disrespect to those three, I don't think people tune into IGN for Jose or Peer. Maybe Brian and Naomi Kyle.

But Greg and Colin alone brought high retention amongst PS fans. Without them, beyond podcast is dead, and many of those PS fans are gonna now move to the 'alternative' beyond hosted by the same people.

IGN aint dead but this is definitely bad news.

I think Jose is pretty good. Why is he doing a bad job?

Because NVC is just as inconsistent as ever along with any other NIntendo features.

As in inconsistent quality or upload speed?

Quality is fine (although I hate that Jose cant stand going off topic for more than a minute) its just that there is times where we dont see one for like 2-3 weeks

Is it sad to say that his reviews are some of the most unprofessional reviews I've read?  Like, I'm not saying they're terrible, poorly written or anything like that.  But they honestly seem like they're written for blogs.  Whether that's IGN's doing or not, I'm not sure.  

He explained on one of the podcast episodes that he wrote his reviews like he was just having a conversation with someone, to make them feel more natural. He also said he hated writing reviews for games, which is why he stopped doing them years ago. A lot of the editors (like Marty Sliva) have also said that the worst part of writing the reviews was giving a score for them. Marty even said flat out that review scores are completely pointless.

But that's what I'm saying, he shouldn't have done that.  As far as the score system goes; it became pointless.   Reviews used to be so detailed, they'd go through every little detail.  From the menus , to the gameplay, to the texture work, to the sound effects.  When they used to go into that detail, you could justify the score they used to give.  Then the final score was averaged.  Now they'll give score based on vague comments, and then pull a final score out of their assess.  Miller was one of the later.
