IGN died in the early 2000's imo. Whenever it was bought out (forget the exact date), the whole place turned into nothing but ad revenue. That's literally all they care about now... ad revenue.

Haven't been on IGN since like 2004 sono big loss to me.

Good riddance to that asscrack moriarty being gone. Makes up for the loss of the rest of them. I might actually go to IGN more often now.

Nah overall its a great thing for those who are fans of theirs as they have more freedom and will be creating more content then ever.

If they're not doing Podcast Beyond, I finally have no reason to go to IGN anymore. This came as a shock, but the writing was on the wall when they started their Patreon campaign. Good for them, and I'm glad they'll be able to dedicate more time to Kinda Funny.

Greg Miller wasn't a serious gaming reporter in my opinion. Half of the podcasts were him just making bad jokes or messing around with the other dudes. Still a big blow to IGN but I doubt the general public will notice/care.

I think that's what you would call an oxymoron. Greg Miller was one of the few editors at IGN with an actual journalism degree, and a professional journalism background. He said a few times that gaming journalism/reporting wasn't real journalism/reporting. Gaming reporting is critical blogging on its best day.
