I don't even remember, the Wii U was revealed back in 2011 but I think I thought it would do fairly well until a few months after launch. Afterwards I thought Sony and MS had more or less an even shot, it seemed like MS was improving it's 1st parties and expanding to appeal to more markets and Sony riding high on the end of the PS3 and strong worldwide support.

As soon as MS announced their used games and online only policies, I knew that the ps4 was gonna win.

I thought the Wii U would be a disaster from Day One. I figured it would "lose" before I even knew who else was competing, and that view hasn't changed since.

Before their reveal, I would have said Sony would take the generation. I figured Microsoft didn't have strong enough exclusives to compete, all things being equal.

And after the reveals, E3 2013, and everything since, I think it would take some very...creative thinking to not think Sony would take the generation.

The initial reveals of the Wii U and X1 pretty much sealed their fate.
Sony's reveal event was not subject to anywhere near as much criticism as the other two.
But I think Nintendo screwed theirs up the most.
