x1 works that way but ps4 you can play emmediatly. Patches arent mendatory, you can still play these consoles offline without patches. I believe Conina is referring tothe WiiU with his comment.  The first time I bought a WiiU I actually had to wait about half a day before it was actually playable due to the crazy amount of patches and how shitty the download speed was.  It's probably better now that it's further away fromlaunch, but "old school console experience" isn't really what I'd call that day.

anyway I agree with you Nintendo games aren't like the other games you can find on PC so is is a must have unlike the other two who don't really have much uniqueness to be a worthy purchase at least until now

I can't imagine gaming without my PC. Its not a god box or anything but it does so much that its become a necessity for gaming today. It handles all the ports I want (which admittedly is few) and does all the media stuff PC is supposed to do.

Having said that I probably wouldn't even use it for gaming if all my 3rd party choices were available on Wii U. Even if it was at a lower resolution I'd probably take the Wii U version. I couldn't imagine gaming this generation without Wii U. To me its like a return to the gaming era I loved. The games are the quality of the GCN/N64 games but better. In those days I'd have all the great Nintendo exclusives and a few rare 3rd party games and that was about it. But this time I got access to tons of indies and VC games.
