PS4 and Xbox One are both last gen since they can't consistently hold on 60 fps and at 1080p. The Wii U, on the other hand, is capable of doing that so Wii U is next gen right now. 

The next generation will include ps5 and Xbox two that can (MAYBE) run 60fps at 1080p FINALLY, while the Thwii will be able to run 120 fps at 4k resolution and blow all of our minds with this as their launch title:

This just in. Insider reports are telling that Sony will release a successor to their home console system Playstation 4 in the next 10 years. Some leaked documents point towards the possibility, this device might be called Playstation 5. Although serious business insiders know, prototypes are never tested until 10 minutes before the release of a new system, this anonymous source is telling that inside the Sony HQ already prototypes of the new console are tested with possible ideas how this will be constructed.
