Simple question if acording to you, wii u is only slightly more powerfull than ps360: why does it have much better graphics than those, while running the games at a minimum of 720p 60fps on every optimizied title and ps360 games were mostly sub hd at 30fps and graphics quite bellow wii u?

Simple anwer: wii u is quite more powerful than the previous gen consoles due to much better gpu and much more ram. it doesn't lag behind ps4/x1 at all. those 2 may have more raw power, but we don't see much difference in this age.

And which games does the Wii U match up with the PS4/One? The few multiplatform games it has are more comparable to 360/PS3 than the PS4/One. Which games on Wii U look anywhere near as good in terms of raw graphics as Halo 2 remade, Infamous Second Son, or Uncharted 4?

Nintendo makes some great games that look amazing, but none are technically graphically all that great. The Wii U is simply not on the level of the PS4/One when it comes to anti-aliasing, ambient lighting, HD textures, etc.

My Wii U is my favorite console, but to say it is anywhere near the PS4/One in terms of power is just plain wrong. Now, if we're just talking about pure fun, the Wii U has that in the bag.

The multiplatforms wii u got are way behing wii u's exclusives graphics. games like 3d world, mario kart 8, smash bros, pikmin 3 are all quite ahead of what can be done on a ps360. xenoblade and zelda are particularly impressive and leave nothing to be desired against ps4/x1 games. those two have more raw power but it would take a huge difference in power to translate in a big graphical difference. if it was 10 years ago, their difference in raw power would be much more visible, like xbox vs ps2, but diminishing returns is here.

powered by AMD? so meaning no more Wii/WiiU physical disc backward compatibility confirmed...

I thought the Wii U processor is AMD....

My question to Nintendo is "why u no intel/nvidia?" (the answer is probably cost but it's a better choice)

only GPU is...

Not really. 3d world and mario kart 8 look great, I guess, due to the aesthetic, but graphically aren't really all that impressive. None of those games you mentioned couldn't be done on ps3 360, although they might have some framerate issues, but maybe not.

Yeah, none of the games you mentioned are graphically impressive. They look great, but it is due to the exceptional art design that Nintendo produces, not the console's power.

Anyway, I'm done here. The difference is quite obvious, and if you refuse to see it, your loss.

Lol... that's what they should have called the Wii U...

But, I think it's good.  I mean, look at the deminishing returns we have today.  If they could have something stronger than the PS4... just enough to barely notice, I think it would be a good thing.  They wouldn't be leagues behind the PS5 when it came out like they were with the Wii Vs. PS3.  I'm sure most people would be satisfied.

They wouldn't even need games.  Just Bayonetta 4, and Smash 5.

Bayonetta 4?

Sorry nintendo, i dont care anymore. I sold my 3ds and wiiu (after a long monster hunter year) to buy a ps4. For me, it was the best decision. I play the major games there, and i havent thought about mario etc. Ever since. And why? I am soooo tired of the 100th mario kart, smash bros or mario plattformer. I still got my n64 and wii. This covers me with the best parts of those series. Only a good zelda would have convinced me. But i am tired of waiting. Maybe they see me if they come up with convincing new ips.

Sorry guys

There are only 4 Smash Bros, and 8 Mario Karts. Have you never heard of Splatoon?

Yeah, it looks great. It's technically impressive for this hardware. Still…it's not in the same league when you look at the hardware power and that says absolutly nothing about aesthetics or the fun a game can make. I played it and it was my best game of the holidays 2013.
