Well they got to try to appeal any way they can at this point. So good on them.

They haven't stopped talking about sales, Reggie has aknowledged a few times that the WiiU sales are not where they want them to be.

In order to have better sales they rightly promote their stellar 1st party software quality, their goal has not moved, they want to sell hardware & software. They can't brag about good hardware sales when they are not there, can they?

Exactly. So they look for whatever they can show is in their favor, which is why this has no importance. Who else ever needed to discuss user scores? What's next, who has more comments on their youtube channel?

I realized certain people here are stuck in the past. I'm sorry but Wii U games are rated higher by critics and users and we're talking about current gen consoles. Wii is last gen so it is unrelated, thank you :)

Exactly. There are a lot of trolls outs there, people that put 0s ans 10s to games that haven't even played. There should be method where only users that have played a respective game can review it. And moderators should check for trolling reviews as well, extending the minimum words required for the text. 

I'm pretty sure that Titanfall, Watch Dogs and Destiny don't deserve their user scores.

For VLR, touch control experiences are going to vary greatly. Vita version looks better and is missing this. The scores are different not because the same outlets gave the 3DS a better score, but because not all outlets reviewed both versions (Destruoid for example gave 3DS version a 9.5 but didn't review Vita despite saying in review that Vita version was the way to go + 10/10 from NintendoLife and Wii Brasil). tbh, it really doesn't matter. I only pointed it out because I was surprised at noticeable difference in score that isn't really deserved.

Good to see Ninty having many games that score so high, but terrible to see the word "fact" getting butchered mercilessly as usual.

Facts:
WiiU has sold less than 10m units/Wii has sold more than 100m units
Zelda games have sold over x million units.
Bayonetta 2 and Mario Kart 8 have received x number of GOTY awards so far
Mario Kart 8 has x metacritic score.

Opinions:
Ninty has the best exclusives
Smash is the best fighter of the year (highest rated yes, best? debatable)

What Ninty stated was facts. What some users are stating as facts, are opinions. A high score is not absolute evidence that x game is better than x game. Quality is debatable. A score is a number and thus a fact. Whether a game deserves that score is up to the individual to decide. Conversely, he can't decide that x game didn't get over 85 meta.
