Just to take it short, got some work to do:
I think to some degree it's that way because the US is extremely good at culture export via TV, Movies... whereas the small european entertainment industries are not.

That can work against the US, though, as well, since many television programs and movies make use of stereotypes.  Even some people inside the United States believe the stereotypes from television about other parts of the US.

That actually is the important point. My personal view of Americans definitely changed after i worked with Americans, most of em being Air Force personal but not that shoot first ask later stereotype i had had in mind without intending that.

This thread has seemed to have derailed a bit into a dick-waving contest between NA and EU. People trying to justify either are really too insecure about where they live XD

Anyway, no market is more important than the rest. NA is a large market and so is EU, and neither are superior or inferior to each other and are important for a healthy thriving game industry.

You guys are attacking him way to quick, he makes some good points in that U.S does spend the most on games. PS3 outsold 360, yet 360 beat it in software sales, and you know why? Because it dominated it in the U.S, also look at the original Xbox's attach rate, it was amazing.

Sure U.S doesn't equal the world, but it is the most important market by far, and people that say the other countries spend just as much as U.S are kidding themselves. Check the other big markets like Germany,France,Italy,Spain,Japan, U.K(not 100% sure on this as it is very similar to U.S) and you'll see that there software sales are much less than U.S in attach rate to consoles sold.

If you were to ask any of the big 3 if they would rather sell 40 million consoles in the U.S, or 40 million in the R.O.W they would choose U.S.

Tie ratios: (US-Europe-Japan-Rotw):

19 PlayStation 4 (PS4) 3.46 3.88 2.77 5.08 3.83
20 Xbox One (XOne) 3.81 4.50 2.50 2.22 3.80

Europe is above US. And that's with $100 games.

True but it's still early, check other gens and you will see, like gen 7 example, ps3 outsold 360, yet 360 beat it in software sales, mostly due to U.S.

X360 has a higher tie ratio because it's been longer on the market. PS3 will end up surpassing it. It has a higher tie ratio than PS3 outside the USA too.

I checked the globe. Turns out there were other countries. Theory disproved.

Sorry, OP, but you seem to be very misinformed. There are too many problems with your arguments and you're using the word "fact" wrong, which is one of my biggest pet peeves.

For one thing, the wii was insanely successful and made ninty tons of money even without those services.

Edit: ninja'd

+1.  This post is a fail.

Prediction for console Lifetime sales:

Wii:100-120 million, PS3:80-110 million, 360:70-100 million

[Prediction Made 11/5/2009]

3DS: 65m, PSV: 22m, Wii U: 18-22m, PS4: 80-120m, X1: 35-55m

I gauruntee the PS5 comes out after only 5-6 years after the launch of the PS4.

[Prediction Made 6/18/2014]

Take a look at VGC's console attach rates.  Europe has about 10% higher attach rate for both PS4 and XB1.

US may be the biggest market overall, but it's inaccurate to say that a console sold in US is worth more than a console sold in Europe.

My 8th gen collection

What you're saying is the US is an important market. US = World however will never make sense unless the console market in Europe and other regions suddenly implode.

I'd disagree. Europe has been keeping the PS4 ahead for quite some time and will continue to do so. While MS is so worried about reclaiming the US (and the UK for that matter) Sony and the PS4 have been kicking ass just about everywhere else. The XB1 may take US for the remainder of the gen or even close the gap down closer in the next year but it will never overtake the PS4 if it doesn't have a bigger hold on Europe.

That's what I think anyways from looking at sales of this year.

AT first I thought, "Bah, what a stupid thing to say. It's just clickbait... Or maybe, it's a clever ploy to draw me in and then blow my mind with a brilliant argument!! I'll click it."

:/ I want my click back...
