Of course there's doubt. I can't tell if it's GOTY material from 5 minutes of alpha bad quality footage, and I'm not sure how anyone can! Of course it'll be good - there's yet to be a bad main series Zelda title - but will it be a genre-definer? That we'll only really find out when the game is in our hands.
What!? Uh yeah. Uncharted 4, Arkham Knight, The Order 1886, and Ratchet Reboot will probably be above it for me. Though it will probably be the only thing I buy for WiiU next year other than perhaps Mario Party.
Only if they scale back the colour palette to portray a vivid array of greys and browns, and none of those silly other ones. That grass looked far too green to be considered adult GOTY material.

Wind Waker, Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword all copped a lot of hate for some time, usually until the next game came around =P
Not sure about Majora's Mask, probably in the same boat with that 3 day cycle.
Yeah, next year is gonna be a tough one!! But let's wait and see which of these games will actually live up to the hype...
EDIT: But I gotta ask, is Bloodborne really GOTY material? Nothing I've seen of it is all that impressive. And it's a RPG? Seemed more like hack'n'slash to me, but if it IS RPG, I think Witcher 3 will be a better one.

If its a sucess, i have no doubt No man's sky will swoop the awards no matter how good Zelda is. The tech on that is an advancement to videogames. Perfected it can become absolutely amazing. We will have incredibly large worlds to explore in gaming.
My personal GOTY will probably be Xenoblade X though.

As soon as it releases there's going to be an avalanche of "worst Zelda evaaar!!!1one!" proclamations, just as there was for the last four console Zeldas.

After their track record, Zelda games have earned the right to be overhyped and overrated with such little info. And honestly, while I don't doubt that the other games that people have been listing as competitors for that title will be stellar, unless one of those games really goes out and shatters my expectations, Metal Gear is the only game announced for next year that can take the title from Zelda. All this is my personal opinion going by the uality and track record of previous games of each series.

This. So this. Skyrim was a fantastic pioneer in this for me. I never knew there was such a vast array of browns and greys until I played that game. The mistake Nintendo make time and time again is creating worlds that look beautiful and inviting. What they need to do is go for a gritty, mature look.. Dull greys and mud browns do the trick nicely. Any hint of actual colour must be eradicated.
