so much better. at least one of those games actually sells.

Is it proper fluid dynamics and physics based or just an overlay? Can't say from the GIFs tbh. What I mean is if there is some merit to it being realtime physics or just a pick from a set of effects that are overlayed on the windscreen/camera?

Such a huge and impressive work deserves good sales

Predictions for end of 2014 HW sales:

 PS4: 17m   XB1: 10m    WiiU: 10m   Vita: 10m

with double the consoles, what a feat. : /

To be fair, a delayed late 2014 game plus after release patch should look better than a rushed for launch 2013 game on weaker hardware.

The tools for launch X1 games were also inferior and extra resources available to developers now. Another minor thing worth mentioning... when 60 FPS is priority visuals can take a hit.

Anyhow, Forza 6 should look great but cutting edge visuals is not always priority at 1080/60 fps.

No doubt the rain looks really good on DC but some could argue the FH2 engine is more technically impressive overall being open world and FH2 is a fantastic addictive game.

But I don't think DC and FH2 is a good comparison as they are very different games, DC vs FH5 is a better comparison

I doubt they are calculating the position of every rain drop in the track and they hitting the windshield plus the effect of the wind and the texture of the glass...

It´s clear a "baked" animation, it´s just too much work to be real physics, and people wouldn´t notice any way.
