Increasing the the level gap is a bad idea, because that means changing the stats and movesets for every single pokemon and move and reqorking a tonne of stuff for one game. If the game needs to change a fundamental part of the series to exist, maybe it shouldnt. And bringing the levels to 300 then defaulting back to 100 makes no sense, because all the moves pokemon learnt between 100 and 300 would become unavailable. A large part of the game is training. Having everything maxed out removes another huge part of the series formula. I just dont see either of those as very good ideas.

It's done in those multiplayer mode. And doesn't break the game. I can happly fight with a level 100 Caterpie against something. It's a laugh. But it doesn't break you Pokemon. And would you have to learn new moves at those levels? You don't need too.

200 levels and absolutely no changes to the pokemon besides stats? That sounds like anti-fun.

It works in side modes, but I'm not a fan of having an increase just to make the game possible, then permanently decreasing it with no explanation. I feel once you start jumping through too many hoops to make something work, it means that probably you should be trying something else.

I didn't say no stat change. They scale up/down like they're supose to. Now you're going into the whole logic to the story about the level chances? They just make a item that does it. Just like how the Megastones have new rules towards certain pokemon and don't lock at that stage.

Definitely not "all regions", for a regular Pokemon game. When they are ready for an MMO, then it should include all regions, but the only other context in which an all-regions game would be a good idea is if they decide to reboot the series (as between Gens 2 and 3) and have more than 100 for levels, for instance.

On the other hand, it's certainly time to start considering including multiple regions in each game, as a matter of course. For instance, if they decide to do a Wii U pokemon game set in Orre, they should also include Kanto (done in full 3D) as a post-E4 region (in my hypothetical situation, Orre would have an E4 by the end of the main story). The inclusion of Kanto in Gold/Silver should have been an idea that continued into future games, and the way they handled it in HG/SS was an improvement on the original. The story should continue into the new region, too.

Actually, that's probably the one thing about ORAS that slightly disappointed me - it was a perfect chance to incorporate the Sevii Islands, and they could even have linked it to Soaring In The Sky, to make it work well... and then the Delta Episode stuff could have worked in some Sevii Island content, too.

But while two regions is definitely a good idea. Six would be too much. Including all regions would be bad.

Even if say the regions are reduced to the core elements only. And you get stories were you can team up with the games protaganist/Battle them as champions? I don't think people here are asking for a 100% copy paste job of each game into one. I'd want new stories that link the characters together in some fashion. The side quests would be battling the gym leaders and E4. But they could make a encompassed story that requires you to go though each region.

Maybe time travel is involved. Maybe all the teams have joined forces? Maybe curt is bothering you about a new special Pokeball. They can work in the special item that makes pokemon exceed level 100 into that story. It could be anything. And it could be used for the 3rd game. It doens't need to be in the main game. But they could do this for the 3rd game. Or if they go the route of Black/White 2.

Pokémon Stadium 3.
Come on make this happen!!!

I'm expecting Nintendo to announce a new Pokemon game for the Wii U and New 3DS which will use Pokemon cards with NFC chips. Cards with NFC chips is going to happen because people are going to start to run out of room for the figurines, they're going to be cheaper to produce and because it suits the franchise down to the ground.

And if you thought that the demand for amiibo was a bit mental, wait until these Pokemon cards appear lol

If the regions are reduced to the core elements only, there will likely be complaining. A lot of people hate HGSS for stripping down Kanto, and that's one region. This would be stripping down 8 or so regions (including Sevii Islands and the Gen 7 region in development) and that wouldnt sit well with the fanbase. I dont see the merit of asking for all regions and then removing 3/4's of the content from them all.

I didnt say no stat change either, I said no change besides stats. For TWICE the amount of levels we are used to, when levelling up has become much slower due to being higher up.

I'm still not completely sold on Mega Evos and making things so OP so being like that is even more reason for me to not like it.

Cutting them down like that would upset people. The biggest criticism people had with Kanto in GSC was that it was so cut back. Basically, to try to fit six different regions into one game, they'd have to scale down most of them, and then make a story that would feel overly disjointed. On the other hand, with just two regions, they can make a full storyline for the whole thing, and have both regions fully-featured. Certain region pairings would also work well to complement each other.

If you want a game that links together the various protagonists and regions, then I'd suggest a spinoff. Something akin to Hyrule Warriors (not in the sense of it being a musou game, but in the sense of it bringing together the various games' characters). Although I'm not sure what style of game I'd suggest - more traditional RPG style is an obvious option, but so is a Real Time type game (real time RPG system, or real time strategy, or something else).

I really can't see the problem with this. I would love and buy it. Twice
