Increasing the the level gap is a bad idea, because that means changing the stats and movesets for every single pokemon and move and reqorking a tonne of stuff for one game. If the game needs to change a fundamental part of the series to exist, maybe it shouldnt. And bringing the levels to 300 then defaulting back to 100 makes no sense, because all the moves pokemon learnt between 100 and 300 would become unavailable. A large part of the game is training. Having everything maxed out removes another huge part of the series formula. I just dont see either of those as very good ideas.

It's done in those multiplayer mode. And doesn't break the game. I can happly fight with a level 100 Caterpie against something. It's a laugh. But it doesn't break you Pokemon. And would you have to learn new moves at those levels? You don't need too.

200 levels and absolutely no changes to the pokemon besides stats? That sounds like anti-fun.
It works in side modes, but I'm not a fan of having an increase just to make the game possible, then permanently decreasing it with no explanation. I feel once you start jumping through too many hoops to make something work, it means that probably you should be trying something else.

I didn't say no stat change. They scale up/down like they're supose to. Now you're going into the whole logic to the story about the level chances? They just make a item that does it. Just like how the Megastones have new rules towards certain pokemon and don't lock at that stage.
