Why do you think all these games were timed exclusive? They just loved Microsoft so much?

More known first party than MS had had. Ever played Parappa the Rapper? Legend of Legaia? Syphon Filter? Legend of Dragoon? Come on....those games were all made by Sony first party in their first gen. MS cannot even claim to have done that in their first gen. Thats only a small portion of the games.  Thats back when Sony was known for RPG's alongside Squaresoft giving them exclusive support.

Like i said they where just full of first party exclusive software

Parappa the Rapper Dev NanaOn-Sha, Published by Sony

Legend of Legaia, Dev Contrail, Published by Sony

Syphon Filter, Dev Eidetic (Now known as Bend Studios after being brought by Sony in 2000), Published by 989 Studios

Dude....Sony's first party played second fiddle to their third party even though it was great in itself. The wealth of third party that the original Playstation had was unreal compared to other platforms.

Microsoft is using Sony's PR to explain something that happend six months ago. Six months ago....

Here is Phil Spencers response as to why they moneyhatted Tomb Raider. Spencer said they had no Uncharted so they decided to play ball.

http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2014-08-18-xbox-boss-phil-spencer-makes-case-for-tomb-raider-exclusivity-deal

Then he responded recently appologizing to his fans for Sony doing the same thing and saying he'll make it up to them

Spencer seems amused that these business deals are what its coming down to between the two of them.

Excellent.

So we're likely to see a PC version, and beyond that, we just don't know.

So... a Limited duration to the Tomb Raider franchise or just a PC version?

Like you, I have no idea.

Based on what we know, it seems a PC version at some point is likely.

starcraft - Playing Games = FUN, Talking about Games = SERIOUS

Tomb Raider franchise recently resurrected, after a long decline, but with far better sales on PS3 and PS4 than on XB360 and XBOne, so giving up completely a PS4 port would be a short-sighted gamble, selling MS a timed exclusive for as much money as possible makes a lot more sense. Also, interrupting the saga with a missing episode on the leading platform could damage sales of successive episodes on it.

This thread is golden, will certainly be reading through the rest of this when I get home.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.
