Forums - Sony - Tips for a Persona 3 FES newbie.

Can't you just download Persona 3 Portable on PSN? I'm pretty sure PSP games are available to download for the Vita.

Anyway, one tip is regarding Mitsuru's social link.
In order to get her Social Link, you have to ace at least one test, and max your Academics stats before November 21. She won't be available as a Social Link until November 21, and you have very limited time with her. So you'll want to unlock her S. Link as soon as possible.

Since you'll be playing FES, you cant use the shrine to increase your stats once a day without making time pass, like you could in the original. (Time passes when you do it in FES) But look around for which places give you the most stat boost.
Try to make the most of each day.
And in the Tartarus, try to push forward as much as you can. When your characters get fatigued, if you don't go back to the bottom floor they will still stay in your party, and you can push forward very far in one single go. Even completing the whole segment in one go instead of coming back several times. It'll be harder when they are fatigued, but it's very doable, and rewarding if you do. The fact that you might get sick is also bonus (outside of battles) since you can visit the nurse for some extra stat boosts when you are.

You can get away with that in P3P, but not in FES.

You'll get tired as well even before you leave Tarturus and that will put you at huge risk. I'd actually recommend rushing through to get to the boss or floor end, and then coming back with a different team or just leaving. Sick status, can last multiple days even with treatment I beleive.

So I go for the girl who looks like Erza Scarlet? Ok.

You mean romance her? That's up to you, but it's nice to have her Social Link to see her story, etc. It's very easy to get to the point where there's not enough days left in the game to get her S. Link to lvl 10, since on top of only being available late in the game and after meeting certain requirements, but I thin she's only available on certain days as well. Or maybe there was a school break or something around that time that made her even less available to hang out with. I can't recall exactly.

Wait, I didn't realize this was a waifu simulator!

Rare, the game is like $15 on Amazon, where do you live?

The Philippines. PLEASE PEOPLE, STOP SAYING ME TO GET IT DIGITAL! I ONLY OWN A PS2, NOT PS3, PS4, OR PSVITA!

I know that feel, bro. Gamers in the US are so lucky T.T

They're like "you're just not looking". I'm thinking of selling my PSP to get a PSVita though. Good thing all the games I got for that is pirated!

Honestly, pirating is the best part of having a PSP, especially when it comes to the Japanese stuff. And yes, Vitas are awesome. I just wish Sony would make more games for it.

My PSP's Analogue stick already broke from playing too many racing games I downloaded.

Yea the PSP's thumb stick is shit. Vita's is way better.

Oh, I misread your first post. I thought you had completed Persona 4 Golden. So I assumed you knew that. I see now that you only tried it out.
But yeah, there's a waifu simulator built in. lol

I'm the only waifu he needs in real life.

I heard that Persona 3 is very limited, and they cut out a lot of the content. Besides, I don't have a PSN account.

Persona 3 Portable only removes the extra FES content (30 hour sequel to Persona 3), but contains all of the changes that FES brought to Persona 3. I would play Persona 3 Portable over P3 FES on PS2.

Go normal. Easy is for babies, hard or higher is not recommended unless you really enjoy grinding and having some real challenge.

I'd say go for normal.

Like I said, don't have a PlayStation Network account.

If you aren't romancing every single girl social link, you're doing it wrong.
B| I only hesitated for a second w/ Maiko, but even she wants to marry me when she grows up
