It has been almost 5 years since the last entry. I don't get it, why is Nintendo not prioritizing one of their most beloved franchises? Does it not sell well enough? Was Other M so horrible that it killed the series for good? Lack of resources?

Wait for December direct or e3? Nintendo did say they are planning to work on a 3d and 2d Metroid 6 months ago so... they definitely havnt given up on it...

I want Retro to do THAT Metroid game, they have the resources & the talent.

I've been waiting for the past 3 E3s and god knows how many Nintendo Directs. How long am I supposed to keep waiting?

You can't assume they've given up on Metroid just because they're pushing Zelda and Starfox. I mean 2015 is already packed for them - I don't think anyone would mind a 2016 Metroid.
