Because it's still like $60 on the eshop with no significant price drops or sales since it's release, which is bullshit. If it were a Capcom fighter. It would be at most $30 with a few sales bumping it down to the $15 range here and there.

The lack of fanbase was probably the reason OP.
Tekken tag 2 as far as i know was the first tekken to be released on a nintendo console.
It's the kind of franchise that screams "playstation" for historical reasons. In other words,if you like tekken, chances are you have a PS console to play it.Plus,it's a third party game which usually don't do very well on WiiU.
It's pretty good and has additional modes and costumes.
There's some franchise fatigue on all platforms because the series hasn't evolved much.
I had Tekken 3 on PS1 and TTT2 on Wii U is enough Tekken for the next decade for me.

I have Tekken Tag 2 and I love it! But I love Tekken so I guess that's not really surprising. The game is just as good as the PS3/X360 versions maybe even better because it has extra modes. If you like Tekken and can find it for cheap you should definitely get it.

It was a 3rd party game on a Nintendo console.
Sigs are dumb. And so are you!
Well Tekken on Wii U was just one of many 3rd party flops.
Frankly, it wasn't a big hit on PS3 and X1 either. I got it for $5 digitally.
