Technically, the Wii U was in the exact same scenario in its first year, but it wasn't considered next gen, so games like Deus Ex weren't considered ports.

Why would anyone cancel their pre-order? They're thinking about potentially doing it. This won't happen for at least a year and a half, especially with FINAL FANTASY XV DEFINITELY COMING OUT AT THE END OF NEXT YEAR

The Wii U got crapped on for having ports of 360/ps3 games when it launched. But now that PS4/XB1 is getting tons of ports of last gen games ,its suddenly ok

 

its pretty hypocritical,thats what makes me laugh

Never said it was ok or better.

Just that its exactly the same thing that happened to the Wii U. Trust me I am anti-hypocritical to a fault.

These news are troubling as i was pondering getting getting 2.5 at some point.

You're revising history. Only reason those Wii U ports got teased was if they ran worse than the PS360 versions.
