What comeback? We don't have sales figures yet, not even Vgchartz estimates for Black Friday.

It's too early to talk about a come back, let's see how the console sells without insane deals after christmas, if it goes back under 90k, it would have been only temporary
Because even the gamecube sold a lot with a price cut
Predictions for end of 2014 HW sales:
PS4: 17m XB1: 10m WiiU: 10m Vita: 10m
Look, I keep saying this but its not a comeback because the Xbox One was already outpacing the 360. Can we stop basing the Xbox One's success as a function of PS4 sales in the US? Please. It seems really counter-intuitive. The Xbox 360 and the PS3 were both successful platforms. Their success had nothing to do with Wii's performance.
Microsoft is actually a great company overall IMO. Sure, they messed up from time to time, but as you said, right now they're doing an overall great job in all their areas.
With Xbox One, they messed up real bad ata first but they're doing an incredible job to earn their customer's trust back. I am not afraid of the One's future, I'm sure Microsoft will work really hard on producing top-quality games like Sunset Overdrive which mostly was a fun and enjoyable experience.
About Xbox One's power, well, I'm sure they have some very powerful secret sauce hidden, even if the Xbox One will forever be inferior to PS4 in raw power, let's not forget MS is a software company, and to be honest the only software company in existence that can do miracles on software alone, and proper optimization can really do miracles even if some people seems to constantly deny it. Remember kids, the important thing is not how many resources you have, but rather how well you know how to use them. And I'm pretty sure that Microsoft knows how to use them very well.

Maybe you should read thread topic. The OP isn't talking about just xbox but MS as a whole. No one was even comparing xbox to other platforms.

I am regecting the idea that a comeback was ever necessary.
They should have done what they are doing now right from the start. Still have not figured out if they made their earlier decisions out of greed or because they were just disconnected from the market.
True test is what policies they use now and going into the gen after this.
They either remain humble and be pro consumer or get greedy again and kill the brand so many love.
Yup, good for them although they kinda didn't have a choice. PS4 is doing so much better and Sony isn't even trying right now (well they are staying competitive with lots of bundles and offers but they aren't supporting it with many games right now).

Well, let's just hope they stay this way. I don't want the "BAD" Microsoft to come back.
Clearly, the reason they changed their stance is because PS4 is kicking XB1's ass.
“Ore no... Kachi da!”

I like Microsoft because of Windows on PC. Other than that, I don't really care about the rest of their products. That's why my opinion on Microsoft is directly proportional to my opinion on the status of Windows.
Regardless, they seem to have been turning things around for the better now that Balmer is out of his seat!
