Yeah, Microsoft is making all the right decisions recently. Very pro-gamer and pro-consumer for the most part over the past few months.

Well, let's just hope they stay this way. I don't want the "BAD" Microsoft to come back.

Clearly, the reason they changed their stance is because PS4 is kicking XB1's ass.

And clearly the PS3 changed was because Sony was getting their ass kicked.

It's an ever-changiing cycle of eating humble pie, and right now Microsoft and Nintendo are both on a roll due to tasting it.

So taking products that had ghastly overstepping policies and reducing the requirements inch by inch until consumers accepted them and teaming up with another monopolistic company to stop the clearly superior ARM and Android is called a comeback?

If they can manage to continue this value incentive from this point, I'll consider them pro-consumer again, but all it's been the past few years is pushing consumers to the edge and then backing down when they get reamed by social media.

That being said, windows phone is actually pretty good in terms of their policies. I feel like MS as a company is best when they're on the back foot.

They just need to cap the comeback with the domination of the US and UK markets. This holiday proves they have momentum. /no1

Yes, you're right.

Sony and Microsoft both are quick in changing and adapting to current situation. Nintendo, still stubborn as ever.

Microsoft deserves this huge sales for their heavy effort in making XB1 very attractive to consumers.

And in the end, we gamers wins.

I don't think it was policies holding them back, but price and lack of choices.  When a console is more expensive the cheaper one wins out.  It's when they made kinect optional and dropped the price is where it took off.  If people are worried about policies and such you'd never buy a Apple product.  In all reality MS was right because 25% buy digital now.  It's the future.
