Tired of hearing people say drop the gamepad, its what makes the U what it is, sure not a lot of games use it, but certain games would become unplayable, i for one love the off tv play, and games like ZombiU, Deus Ex, Game&Wario etc, plus use it to browse the internet/miiverse.

Totally. Its what i use the most on my Wii U. At night in bed i can play something or more importantly go on the internet with the awesome browser. I often come here on VGchartz at night on my Wii U.

This wouldnt be possible without the gamepad. I would have to suffer through the Vita's now slow and almost unusable browser (for heavy pages like VGC).

I love WiiU gamepad too, and I think it shouldn't be dropped. Its a very nice feature me and my family often using.

Iwata wants to spend even less money in advertising. So yeah...

Good. I'd much rather that money go towards polishing a game and making it great.

The more advertising you do the more games you sell... so unfortunately they could make a great game, without advertising no one will buy it and no one will care... so yeah its a double edged sword.

i dont think so, they will play it safe and go 1080p/60fps.  first real hd console is fine  too.

Doubt it, Nintendo has to put something new in consoles and looking at the progression of the DS with the 3DS, 3D is the next logical step for innovation. It will be absolutely awesome to play some Nintendo games in 3D.

1) Why are more people buying PS4 and XB1? People are more aware of them. People think that the WII-U is just a gamepad.

2) What do you think Nintendo could do to turn this thing around? have better hardware and better third party relations like Reggie promised.

they should drop the gamepad and make the console cheaper without losing any money. The Wii U is not competitive with costing 280 bucks, people wouldnt mind buying WiiUs for 150 to 200 to play exclusive games along their core machines.

Why would you buy an underpowered console with less games when you can get a powerful console with all the multiplayer plus some exclusives and better online for $200 extra?

Why would you buy an underpowered console with less games and a useless gimmick developers don't know what to do with it when you can get a powerful console with all the multiplayer plus some exclusives and better online for $200 extra?

Now you know why Wii U will be Nintendo's lowest selling console. I have one and only for Smash and MK8 I wish it was cheaper and just came with the pro controller

Wii U draws critical praise from many publications. Time, Forbes, hell even Fox News is spreading the word about Wii U. It is free publicity and it is good publicity. Nintendo's biggest struggle was getting people to knock it off with the Wii U is doomed articles. Now that the Media is finally on their side they will have one less enemy to worry about. Nintendo just needs to survive this generation, and they are doing that well.

Nintendo is in a transitional phase. They are moving their developers into a new building and are consolidating their console and handheld teams and moving their support staff there as well. When they are done with the transition they will be pumping out the games at a break neck pace and Wii U and 3DS won't have the droughts they have had.

Eventually people will finally run out of excuses to not buy a Wii U and will join the party.

the idea that people are "looking" for excuses is ridiculous and childish. Its enough to simply not want the Wii U they dont even need a reason.

The more advertising you do, the more you have to sell to make that marketing money back. Double-edged sword indeed.
