Forums - Gaming - 2015: PS4 Will Have the Best Q1 in Years. UPDATED OP WITH Q2

Amazing quarter for Sony. It seems like they've spread out their games nicely, and on one of the most notorious weakest quarters.

Q1 is always the second strongest quarter of the year with many high profile releases.

If they've done it in the actual weak quarters 2 and 3 that would be amazing. It's a great lineup for Q1 but it's not unusual.

Lately Q1 is stronger than Q2, next year is looking the same way.

I'm getting dead or alive, type 0 and maybe dragon ball. (And ori)

Years? It only had 1 year.....

You missed Dynasty Warriors 8: Empires on Jan 27th, thats my first game of 2015

What are your thoughts?

Ratchet & Clank is also confirmed for the 1st half of 2015, so that's probably a Q2 game, maybe April or May.

MLB will probably drop in Q2 and I think Housemarque have said Alienation will come out in Q2 of next year.

Sony are owning 2015 with all of their exclusives and getting the best of 3rd party too.

Really? I think Q1 is usually one of the weakest. Q2 is usually decent, with some good releases from April - June. And Q3 is always very good as well, it includes September which is when the busy holiday release period starts.

Just look at the past Q1s. Just PS4/PS3 as an example

2014: Tomb Raider DE, Outlast, Ground Zeroes, Infamous, Thief, LR:FFXIII, Stick of Truth, Dark Souls 2

2013:  DMC, Dead Space 3, Metal Gear Rising, Tomb Raider, GOW Ascension, Bioshock Infinite

2012: FFXIII-2, MGS HD collection, Soul Calibur V, Kingdoms of Amalur, Mass Effect 3, Streetfighter x Tekken, Silent Hill HD Collection, Twisted Metal, Ninja Gaiden 3

2011: LBP 2, Mass Effect 2, Deadspace 2, Crysis 3,  Bulletstorm, Killzone 3, Dragon Age 2, Motorstorm Apocalypse, Homefront, Yakuza 4, Dynasty Warriors 7

and the list goes on.

Q1 is ALWAYS strong with many high profile big name games. It easily rivals Q4.

This is my list of Playstation Games for 2015

Isn't batman Q1?

Batman is in June.

Getting Dying Light and The Order definitely, Saints Row and Resident Evil will have to wait for a sale...

Ok then. Thought it was Feb.

Just look at the recent Q3s, they are also always very strong...

2014: TLOU Remastered, Diablo III UE Edition, PVZ Garden Warfare (PS version), SAO, Tales of Xillia 2, Infamous: First Light, Madden 15, Metro Redux, The Sims 4, Destiny, FIFA 15, Hyrule Warriors, Shadow of Mordor

2013: DOTA 2, Dynasty Warriors 8, Pikmin 3, Tales of Xillia, Saints Row IV, Final Fantasy XIV Realm Reborn, Madden 25, Diablo III, Total War: Rome II, Outlast, Grand Theft Auto V, FIFA 14, PES 14

2012: Theatrhythm Final Fantasy, Persona 4 Arena, The Last Story, Sleeping Dogs, God of War Saga, Guild Wars 2, Madden 13, Borderlands 2, Dead or Alive 5, FIFA 13, PES 13

2011: Catherine, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Madden 12, Tropico 4, Dead Island, Resistance 3, White Knight Chronicles II, Gears of War 3, Resident Evil 4 HD, FIFA 12, The Ico & Shadow of the Colossus Collection, PES 12, Resident Evil Code: Veronica X

And the list goes on...

If you're calling Q3 weak, then Q1 must be weak as well.

I guess 90% of these belong to September which is Q3s only good month. Still seems weaker than Q1.

Looking forward to The Order, Witcher and Project cars. I hope one of them will exceed expectation.
