How is it for Nintendo fans only?

Fun and polished games are not for every gamer...?

A lot of the same in the games department. 

You got your Mario (2D, 3D, Kart), Smash, DK, Zelda, etc. When it comes to appealing to newer audiences I don't feel the Wii U does the best job at attracting new type of gamers.

There are a few valid points here, but as a whole the article is fairly incoherent.

2. Nintendo doesn’t need third parties the way Microsoft and Sony do.
11. It’s an unabashed games console, not a media player

In what way are these two points a positive over the PS4 and Xbox One?

I think Nintendo has a chance at getting new audiences with splatoon and mario maker(both could be hits and be system sellers(mostly mario maker)

Writing a piece of opinion against the majority's opinion is the easiest and cheapest way to give a sense of honesty.

The best thing about this is that if you switch opinion every year, people will get this feeling everytime. Not implying there are no reasons to buy wii u though, but they sure are less reason to choose wii U over PS4One now than last year.

Third parties are helping the XB1 and PS4 out alot. The media pretty much shat on the WiiU in its first 12-18 months.

Nintendo themselves were just very overwhelmed I think as well. First HD console and they have to do everything pretty much alone.
