The PS3 is not selling that much in Europe. Period. My local gamestores have stopped stocking PS3 permantly, so has Argos... Still stock X360 though...

so you mean to tell me that in the EU where the PS3 sells way more than the 360, they're phasing out the PS3 but not the 360?

I am trying to say that I think VGChartz is seriously overtracking the PS3 over here. All my friends are buying PS4/One and alot are switching to PC

Talking in durability more in the relevance+longeivity not only not breaking (my PCs were usable for 10years and in my company we have some PCs that are over 30y in daily use... altough they are almost like consoles dedicated to a single function), like keeping the same equipment for 10 years and be sure everything will run as if as possible without any special hassle and nostalgic feelings to play really old games as they were ment when you pick your older gen stored.

I haven't seem any desktop assembly as pleasing as any consoles, specially PSs, Ninties and Segas, and almost in all cases the equivalent machine will be a lot bigger and more inconvenient to put in the home looking good. But sure you can always encase it in some forgotten side drawer with enough ventilation and bluetooth/wiifi peripherics, but all that add to the bother of having a PC on the TV (altough I usually put my notebook on the tv to watch some things or use the media capabilitie through PS3).

But we can't ignore that all that adds for some people not wanting to put a PC in their main room... and we don't need much "evidence" to know how uncommun is to have someone with this kind of set on the general population and that may justify a person that mainly play multiplats buying console instead of gaming pcs.

Longevity is pretty comparable with regards to gaming, plus, PC's are backwards compatible, sure, you may have to jump through some hoops with some really old games, but you can't even go BC with the PS4/XB1, so I'm not sure how that's even a realm you want to enter into in this particular discussion.  As far as the hardware remaining relevant, it's another misnomer that certain console gamer's keep bringing up, but really only shines a light on how little they know.  If you somehow think that a consoles hardware is magically able to stay relevant longer than the equivalent PC hardware, that's a fallacy.   And you should know better.   Both PC's and console have constant updates/patches over their lifetimes.  'nuff said.

Convenience is subjective, and really not my problem.  That's yours. I don't find putting a PC anywhere, inconvenient.  They're easy to move, and once they're in position, I generally don't move them around very much, likewise with a console.  As far as aesthetics, again, subjective.  It's quite easy to find a case that's visually pleasing, as easy as it is to find a case that fits certain dimensions you're looking to fit them in.  PC's require more effort (to build, if you build them yourself...but, do you build a console yourself?), sure, but the people who do it, do it well, and are very good at it.

I can and do ignore what people say, because they aren't me.  They're someone else.  Making broad statements about something you clearly aren't interested in, doesn't mean what you're saying doesn't have more holes than a block of swiss cheese, however.

I was saying it was too low relative to all other boosts.  Clearly I was correct as the ONE sold as much, or more, as the PS4 last week.  So the PS4 boost was too high or the ONE boost wasn't enough, or.... most likely a bit of both.

Thanks.

No, you were wrong. You did not compare its boost to those of "other consoles", you compared it to the Wii U boost which increased 1k week-over-week. And it seems like Xbone was not undertracked that week, so its boost was rather appropriate (once again, assuming the 100k+ ballpark is legitimate). The PS4 was overtracked though, but you most definitely did not bring that up at all.

Don't bother. He knows you are right. But he would never pass on the chance to bicker with pezus back and forth.

So... where are you from? Because here in the UK I can quite clearly see 5 different PS3 SKUs in stock at Argos...

Up between Newcastle and Sctoland... Not a bad place

Eh, you can't say that either because XB1 was quite significantly ahead of PS4 the week before so obviously for them to be close the week after PS4 had to have the larger boost

Also, what thelababy said above. You obviously compared it to WiiU's boost.

I don't think that's really a good enough reason to ask for a lock...

Just post in more threads to kick it off your buddy, nothing ever stays on mine for long

Well said. Not to mention that locking the sales thread of a recent week just to please 2008ProchargedGT (or anybody else) would be an abuse towards the majority of users that could still like to discuss the sales for a while in a perfectly on-topic way, particularly if there will be adjustments, or comparing them to BF week or other significant weeks sales. If there are OTs that blatantly bait other users to derail an important thread, the right thing to do is reporting them, but not asking for a thread lock.

It looks like xone will never win a week in the global. But this is not the whole story, profit is more important.
