Forums - Nintendo - Rodea and the Sky Soldier: "debut" trailer (Wii U / 3DS)

I wonder when they're going to show the WiiU version.

(Seriously, though, that looked like an upressed 3DS game. Maybe they canned the Wii version).

Looked cool though. Reminded me of Gravity Rush.

Ultra generic music aside the game has my attention.

That's gotta be for the 3DS cause it looks old, very old.

This looks quite fun honestly.
Hopefully it will see life in the west!

It is an old game. Suppose to come out years ago.

I want it. Kadokawa can localize it themselves.

Call me a graphics whore, but I just can't play games that look that ugly. Unless we're talking about 8 or 16 bit graphics, I feel that style aged well.

Unless that was the 3DS version, it seems the Wii U port is just the Wii/3DS one in HD.

Still, it's gameplay that counts; Monster Hunter 3 on Wii U is just the 3DS version in 1080p, yet it's one of my top games for the console.

Stay tuned for Operation... Skyfall? XD

At least they already have a theme song.

I may take you up on that offer in the future now that I have your permission.

Guess they have doubts over the games success on WiiU and 3DS

That sucks but oh well ...

You think anyone's going to pick it up ?

Since its a Kadokawa game there is a decent chance Nis America will localize it.

I kinda doubt that ...

The VAST majority of Nis America's published games are JRPGs and are only on playstation platforms, neither of which "Rodea and the Sky Soldier" meets those criteria. They certainly have been localizing some 3DS titles recently but I would like to point out the fact that those are Atlus developed games so it's likely that Nis America's relationship with Atlus plays a bigger factor into those exceptions. The only IP so far that Nis America has localized from Kadokawa Games was Natural Doctrine and that game meets both of the critera stated above ...

Actually scratch that out. It's highly doubtful that Nis America will localize it when the above conditions are realized ...

Oh shit, that sounds like the voice of Fumihiko Tachiki booming in the intro. Makes me want to watch Kaiji again.

Unless that game is Earth Seeker.
