Well, Sega was a bad publisher if you want to start with Gen 7. Most people didn't even know about their games until a couple years later, if they ever knew about them at all. No visibility in the market whatsoever. Nintendo continued that with Wonderful 101. Terribly marketed game. Bayonetta 2 was marketed fairly well though, and it's selling pretty well, you know, for an M-rated 3rd party Wii U game.
But other than that, very niche games with that over-the-top Japanese style that Western gamers are allergic to.
