I don't hate any games.

On the other hand...

Do I think indies tend to get overrated by reviewers? - Yes
Do I appreciate most indies? - No
Do I appreciate a good indie as much as a good Triple A? - No, an indie will never achieve the greatness of a great AAA, just because of production values and scale.
Have I enjoyed a lot of indies thus far? - Yes, and there are still plenty to come!

though we have to be fair indies are way more viable and profitable than big games , its easy too see why sony wants to be careful this gen ( seeing as the ps3 era lost them $5 billion dollars ) and make games that sell very very well and avoid losses

Ok, I'll give you that. But then this whole thread doesn't make sense, because most of the hate indies get are because of their smaller scope, simple graphics - just being "cheaper" than a AAA. The fact that's made by an independent studio is not really relevant.

So just to be accurate: "A small budget title (what an indie title is 99 times out of 100) will never achieve the greatness of a great big budget AAA title"

Most of the hate indies get is because of people's misconception, not because of their smaller scope. That's what I believe :)

Saying indie inmediately makes people think of these kind of games you've just named, but there's more to it than that, which is why I would like people not hate on them!

But indies ARE these kind of game I've said. The only one I can think of that can offer more than that right now is No Man's Sky, and nobody can say if it will turn good.

Name me an indie game with a 10-15h campaign with nice 3D graphics, good story and voice acting and deep gameplay mechanics. I can't think of a single one.

They're either long with deep gameplay, but simple 2d graphics and text dialog, or if the production value is there, they are limited by its length and/or simple gameplay.

They basically can't deliver the whole package because of budget limitations.

Game of the year 2017 so far:

5. Resident Evil VII
4. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
3. Uncharted: The Lost Legacy
2. Horizon Zero Dawn
1. Super Mario Odyssey

I'm sowwy, I hated on Indie devs today. After I nearly killed the final boss with ??? in Binding of Isaac, but got f***ed by an impossibly difficult enemy room on the last floor, I screamed wild curses at the devs and their mothers and everybody they love - I was only half serious, well maybe a quarter serious.

Im not sure Nicalis is indie...

Indies are great, they're not afraid of trying new things or letting the imagination take over.
Some indie games are utterly crap (that's to be expected, even some "AAA" titles are crap as well) and some are really good. IMO most tend to be either good or great..

Why would I hate indie? :S They're fine.

certainly not "most", but on gaming websites we usually don't hear about the thousends of total crap indie games, but we hear about the actually promising projects, which are quite many aswell, because there are so many in total

Zeno Clash, Legend of Grimrock, Machinarium, Amnesia, Serious Sam, Dust: An Elysian Tail, almost everything Double Fine has done (which includes Brütal Legend, Psychonauts, Stacking...), unreleased The Witness from Braid creator, Dementium games, Riddick's Escape from Butcher Bay and Dark Arena, The Banner Saga, Mount & Blade, Flower, Journey... those are the ones I can think of, but certainly there's "more than one".

No Man Sky is another adition, but no one can tell if that one will turn good.

Well that is a very strange set of goalposts to set up...why do those factors make a game more than games without those factors?

Well you're absolutely correct about that. My phrasing wasn't the best I suppose xD
What I meant to say was most of the ones I've played have been either good or great.
I don't really look up on info about the indies before purchasing (if I don't have any doubts that is), I usually purchase them if they appear to be fun

That definition is close to a very popular AAA game we all know... Take out the deep gameplay mechanics and it sounds like Uncharted!
