Ok, I'll give you that. But then this whole thread doesn't make sense, because most of the hate indies get are because of their smaller scope, simple graphics - just being "cheaper" than a AAA. The fact that's made by an independent studio is not really relevant.

So just to be accurate: "A small budget title (what an indie title is 99 times out of 100) will never achieve the greatness of a great big budget AAA title"

Most of the hate indies get is because of people's misconception, not because of their smaller scope. That's what I believe :)

Saying indie inmediately makes people think of these kind of games you've just named, but there's more to it than that, which is why I would like people not hate on them!

But indies ARE these kind of game I've said. The only one I can think of that can offer more than that right now is No Man's Sky, and nobody can say if it will turn good.

Name me an indie game with a 10-15h campaign with nice 3D graphics, good story and voice acting and deep gameplay mechanics. I can't think of a single one.

They're either long with deep gameplay, but simple 2d graphics and text dialog, or if the production value is there, they are limited by its length and/or simple gameplay.

They basically can't deliver the whole package because of budget limitations.
