Forums - Nintendo - What if Nintendo makes Xenoblade HD?

In which console would prefer the original Xenoblade?

Wii U. 68 70.10%

N3DS. 12 12.37%

Only Wii. 6 6.19%

No interest in the series. 4 4.12%

Don't know, don't care. 7 7.22%

Total:97

Xenoblade is a franchise with serious growth potential. The lackluster distribution of the game, however, killed most of its momentum for the game. If this game didn't have such a good reputation in the gaming comunity, it would have faded into obscurity. So Nintendo wants to get people to know better the series. Another title that Nintendo published that needed an introduction to regular Nintendo consumers was Bayoneta. With Bayoneta II they released an improved version of the original, allowing newcomers to follow the series. And both Bayo I &II came together.

I know that Xenoblade is coming for the N3DS, but I think Nintendo wouldn't have any problems in remastering the game and selling it on the WiiU, even if it's just on the E Shop. What do you think? Was a good idea to put Xenoblade on the N3DS? Or it would have been better on the WiiU? Or both? What would have been better for the IP?

You know it deserves the GOTY.

It would be better to do a Xenosaga HD for the Wii U. Doing a Xenoblade HD might shoot the 3DS version in the foot.

Why do so many people always want HD remastered games?
Am I the only one who actually wants a new game?

I don't think it's worth it for them. The game probably won't sell that much.

A lot of people missed out on it the first time though. So in this scenario it might not be the worst idea.

Would rather have new Xenoblade though!

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

It's not the posibility of an HD version, it's the fact that Xenoblade was horribly distributed and even worst priced (between 10 or 20 €/$ more than most Wii games). People want to get it, and the most logical step is bringing a port or a remaster to this gen.

It would definitely be nice if they released an HD version of Xenoblade on the Wii U, but I think the existence of the New 3DS port kinda kills the chance of it happening. I dunno if Nintendo would go through that much effort for a game that sold less than 1m. I would love to be wrong though.

Bad business decision. No point of having 2 remakes of the same game on 2 different platforms.............while in the same generation.

Would be awesome and I am sure the difference will be greatly noticable between the wii and the wiiU version so even the people that played it the first time would get a kick out of playing it again. It would be even more awesome if they gave it for free if you get X

I'd die for an HD remake of Xenoblade on the Wii U

...Too bad it won't happen anytime soon.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

I can already play Xenoblade on a Wii U. I cannot play Xenoblade wherever the hell I want and that is why bringing it to a handheld is the most orgasm-inducing thing Nintendo could possibly do with this game other than greenlight a sequel, which they have also done.

HD remake would be cool, but bringing it to 3DS is way, way more appealing to me.
