The title will be misleading, like others have pointed out on gaf, only game you need sofar to save data on is SSB. The other 2 currently known games is just used for the game, no need saved data required. Im sure the other games will be the same

This, so much this!
And besides, it's one price for multiple DLC's across various games if one gets the right amiibo and games.
If you're interested in Nintendo content and understand german, maybe you want to take a look at my youtube channel! :)

people will not notice or completely ignore it :0
a. Old news...we already have a thread on this
b. This is write data only and the only game so far to use write data is Smash...the rest are read only
Let's just hope that Nintendo will allow users to save Amiibo data somewhere on the WiiU to switch between games. That shouldn't be too hard to implement as a system update.
That off course would only happen when a game other than Smash will be able to write data in Amiibos.
You guys need to realize something.
Not all games store data with Amiibos. Smash Bros is the only game to do that so far.

Meaning you'll have to buy another figure when more games come out with smash like functionality.

Damage control man. Just like with the drop in quality people keep making excuses. The major selling point of these is that they were supposed to have multi game functionality. To deny that this news reveals a serious flaw in that approach is fanboyism of a high degree.

....yeah, so? You could also delete the save data on the amiibo if you wanted to.
