Can I just get a Xenogears HD remake?

Xenosaga isn't really like Xenoblade though, they share the same DNA but they are very much different.  I doubt Xenoblade CX will be much of a success, but I have a feeling that game will be smartly budgeted, so it'll more than likely meet Nintendo's sales expectations, yet never be a mjor disappointment or breakout hit.

Also, I don't think Nintendo, or for that matter Sony or Microsoft need any sort of JPRG trilogy.  Xenosaga wouldn't even count as a spinoff, and I'm not sure why Nintendo would fund or use one of their more prominent studios to do an HD remake when they could be working on their own games or helping Nintendo's first party studios.

Even for exclusivity sake.  This Xenosaga trilogy seems more like a passion project than any sort of sound financial decision.  Actually, I don't even think the trilogy was that critically appraised, I remember reviews being very uneven.

Neither is any Final Fantasy really like the other, but people still buy it in mass because of the string of good ones from VI-X (and I'll add IV as well). What it does is further solidify if you want the Xeno experience, get a Wii U.

Because it would be a low cost risk way of getting better relations with Bamco (they have arleady worked with them on Tekken Tag 2 and Super Smash Bros). Nintendo wants some third party games, Bandai wants to make Xenosaga, everyone wins.

Maybe Monolith wants another crack at it. It is their game after all.

Well FF is a different case though, it is very much THE biggest JRPG in gaming and historically each entry usually is differnet from the last.  You're talking about a trio of games with set themes and battle system and another different series sharing some themese and entirely different battle system.  And FFXV is the only mainline FF to have a battle system seemingly so different from the main series, and that's partially due to it originally being a spin-off.  Though, haha Xenosaga was supposed to be a FF game iirc.

People can already get the :"Xeno experience" on a Wii U though as it's backwards compataible.  And they acan aready get a different "Xeno experience" on a PS2.  I don't see the point of getting a complete "Xeno experience" on one system. As in justify the costs and effort it would involve.  Besides, the "Xeno Experience" would somehow have to include the DS games.

They already have a good working relationship with Namco Bandai with Xeno collection.  THey have collaborated many times in the past and even nnow.  they are cuurently working on one of  Nintendo's most prominent franchises, Smash bros and previously MK8(or so I heard, nvm just checked the wiki, they actually helped).

"Bandai wants to make Xenosaga, everyone wins."

One guy from Bandai Namco wants to make the games.  Bandai Namco just wants to make money.

"

Maybe, I haven't heard anything from them about it, and looking at how the guy behind the series talks, it doesn't seem like he wants to revisit old games.  He seems to want to continually outdo and build on what was before.  This is what I get from the interviews anyway.  He doesn't even think the original Xenoblade is all that great.

Outside all of that though, what benefits would the game serve for the gamepad?  Because at this point, it makes more sense for Bandai Namco to put their other series on Wii U, Baten kaitos.  It was on the GC, would benefit from Gamepad integration, and since the Wii U has some GC roots, I don't think the HD remake would be that taxing, and the studio is already with them.

Doesn't matter how popular the RPG is, and there have been sequels to several of their games. Also, the gameplay of X is completely different than XII which is completely different from XIII, which is completely different from XIV, which as you said is completely different from XV. Only the games prior to X were the same.

Why not get the entire Xeno experience on one system, it makes it a LOT more convenient. This is like saying "why not keep Bayo 1 for PS360 and JUST have Bayo 2 for Wii U, that way you can get the Bayo experience on two different platforms". No one wants to have to get two consoles to play 1 series.

Okay, all the more reason to work with Nintendo, if they already have a good working relationship. This wouldn't be a reason NOT to do it.

But you're talking about someone else redoing thier game, he hasn't mentioned how he feels about that. Being that he knows the faults of the game, he could work to alleviate some of those.

The same as many others, a map, quick inventory management, and off TV play. It's a PS2 game remastered, what more do you need than that?

Honestly I wish the Katsuhiro would have been more transparent about where he would have liked this title to end up. There are going to be some pissed off people no matter which platform this is released on. Dumb move on his part.

It hasn't even been announced so why even announce what platforms he would want them on?  Even though it goes without saying that every developer wants as much gamers to play their game as possible, ie on every platform.

Because he wants gamers support. There are going to be people who don't want a PS4, as well as people who don't want a Wii U who are going to support this fan movement just to be told to go buy the console they will be releasing it on. This is going to piss people off.

First you said it was dumb for him not to say which platforms he wants to release it on, now your saying if he does say which platforms he's gonna piss some people off that he needs to support him...your changing your points.  People are gonna be pissed off anyway, why piss them off before he has the support he needs?

Anyway this whole thing is moot because as I said a developer would obviously want as many gamers to play his game as possible, ie on every platform.

Ideally it should be on both. This is like asking whether a child should live with their mother or with their father. You better bet your ass there are Xenosaga fans who haven't played Xenoblade, hell reminding everyone on PS4 that this series exists could actually be good for Nintendo.

If Namco involves Monolith Soft as Harada says he wants to, the game would have to be Wii U exclusive. For that reason I fully expect them not to bring Monolith into the equation, which I think would be best. I also expect it to skip Wii U if it is made at all, which I think would be mind-numbingly stupid.

Friendly reminder here that this series was canned due to lack of interest on PS platforms, while the Nintendo audience embraced it and are being rewarded with a massive next-gen sequel.

No I'm not. I'm saying if he was transparent about what platform he wanted to put the series on from the beginning, the fans who want that game on the system could support it and the fans that didn't wouldn't be waisting their time. NOT being up front about what systems he wants it on is going to piss people off.

True, but if their were only these two choices is what I'm asking.

A point I've recognized early in this thread. If you read through I wrote "Either way this will be good for Nintendo".

Another reason it should come to Wii U

Who cares if it pisses people off after?  All that matters is he gets the support he needs now.

Lol, so I guess if it comes exclusive to Wii U and you took the time to comment on all the social medias and fill out all of those petitions and followed the game for months hoping to get it on PS4 you wouldn't care? That's great and all, but some people are and do mind.
