Have you looked at their financials? They need to start making money.

If anything Nintendo is pretty reserved with their character IP. Why does Sonic, which is now a D-tier franchise ... why does Sonic have an animated TV show whereas Mario does not?

Amiibo is them finally actually branching out and bringing a lot of their wider character IP in some other form than just video games that come out once in a while.

Yes, they need to start making money and thats not been going so well lately. Quality titles like MK8, SSBU, ZeldaU and DKC:TF will get them alot of money. Not by lending out their characters to mediocre games and developers. People get sick of them. The quality goes down.

Which of those games is mediocre though, really? Bayonetta 1/2 is the best game on the Wii U arguably. Monster Hunter 4 is a good game, and a very important IP for Nintendo. Keeping that IP tied to Nintendo platforms IS important to Nintendo, securing MH exclusivity is probably the smartest thing Iwata has done in 5 years. I don't see the issue. Mario & Sonic ... ok, but is that really any "lower quality" than the average Mario Party game?

Hyrule Warriors is pretty awesome actually.

Hyrule Warriors might be great for us fans, but for outsiders its still just Dynasty Warriors with a Zelda skin.

Its the same as the Wii. We fans know there are a ton of quality titles on it, but all most other people see are the massive amount of absolute trash that got shoveled onto store shelves.

Nintendo games are great and stand the test of time because they are made by people who love making video games and funded by people who cares about quality. The moment it becomes more about the money they make, its game over...

I actually think Hyrule Warriors will become a regular series from now on. If it wasn't stuck on such a low selling platform, it probably would sell 2-3x the amount to boot.

Most people in the West don't play Dynasty Warriors so to them it's just a neat action-oriented Zelda spin-off.

They really need to stop whoring out their franchises. Its getting sad at this point...

I wouldn't worry about it. Nintendo has no third-parties to whore their Amiibos out to.

Oh, stop exaggerating.

You know you'd buy those Just Dance Amiibos.

Cia figure!

Is it wrong to want to place a Rosalina or Zero suit Samus amiibo on the gamepad so I can do Tag Climax on Bayonetta 2? Because if that is wrong then I don't wanna be right.
