Well I already know 2 Nintendo games I will be getting in 2015. For the PS4 I see FFXV if it comes out that year in europe, and maybe 3 other games that don't even exist yet, let alone have a releas date for 2015.

Some of y'all are jumping to conclusions like you life depends on it. He is not invalidating them as platforms. He is stating that he would rather be with Nintendo because it differentiates itself from the other two.....which is more than true.

Half of you all are responding by saying that's why the sales are so bad, because it's different........

What does that have to do with what he is saying?

You really cant say its untrue, because it isnt. How many exclusive party titles did Sony and Microsoft release this year? Lets not waste time with indies or downloadable only please, no one buys systems because of those.

X1: Fantasia, Sunset overdrive, Forza Horizon 2, Halo master chief CL, Kinect sports Rivals, Shape up, Titanfall.

PS4: Driveclub, Infamous second sun, The last of Us remastered, Little big planet 3.

Wii U: Bayonetta 2, Donkey Kong Tropical freeze, Hyrule Warriors, Mario Kart 8, Sonic Boom ryse of lyric, Super smash brothers, and Captain Toad Treasure tracker in the US.

Now take into account that 3 of those X1 exclusives are aimed at casuals and not gamers (Fantasia, Kinect Sports rivals and Shape up) and my point is made. Not untrue. Its just an unconfortable truth that many choose to ignore. The Wii U is clearly a better second system due to the ammount of exclusives it has.

Oh did i mention how one of those on both X1 and PS4 is just a souped up port of a last gen game? Yeah...

That is a pretty stupid comparaison, one year old console versus two year old console, of course its going to have more exclusives since its thé second year.

 

Now, according to your logic , PS3/360 is a far better choice of second console for thé one who didnt own a PS3/360 last gen , yeah since we can take older consoles, why  be blind and ignore last gen consoles with much more exclusives than Wii U ?

Well, he's kind of right about the PS4 and Xbox One being similar. I mean, they're both mashing the Wii U into the ground in terms of having the very best third-party games, which drive the industry, while having their own high-quality exclusive titles.

I guess he wanted it to sound like a negative but it's really not.

Because it probably is  better just to keep a 7th gen system than to buy the new ones....

You dont "keep" it if you never had it.

We nées to kill thé myth about Nintendo consoles Being more différent than thé others, its juste wrong, unless you lean différent in a bad way, because Wii hadnt more exclusives than PS3 for exemple, so its a given that Wii U wont have as much exclusives than PS4 within japanese + first party support

Out of all those quotes, only the first by Yamauchi do I find to be insulting, a comment made in 2000. You summarize these four quotes as "our console doesn't need filthy third party software" but only 1/4 of those quotes actually attack or insult third parties. Therein lies my objection: you are painting Nintendo as though they look down upon third parties when 3/4 of those quotes do no such thing. Why the bias?

How many exclusives did Nintendo release in the WiiU's first year?

 

2nd year of course is better. That's common knowledge. Just to start, in 2015 the PS4 begins with The Order 1886, Ratchet and Clank, Bloodborne, MLB The Show 15, TearAway Unfolded & Until Dawn. That is all before June even hits. That is (6) to your WiiU's (8), and doesn't factor in any of the fall releases. Then on top of that it will have massive 3rd party support.

It isn't even comparable, plus you even needed to make special rules just to make the WiiU look better with the removal of downloable titles. The moment you do that, the argument is lost.
