Bayonetta is awesome and you should get it - 9/10

You totally forgot to mention the rampant sexism. You're not a really good reviewer, are you?

story is not poor. it is non existent and awkward. Granted, the game's still 8/10+ in my opinion.

I dunno. It's nothing special but at least it puts you a nice excuse to put you in the action and kick the butt of some angels.

I think you just don't like this genre at all. Bayonetta is undeniably a top hack & slash franchise, just because of its combat and great enemies, including epic boss fights. This is all this genre is about, and Bayonetta delivers.

I don't know if I've ever been in total agreement with you like this before. To be honest, it's kind of unnerving.

The base level combat mechanics of Bayonetta were excellent. Beyond that, though, I wanted to burn the rest of the game with fire and have them start over with something that didn't make me mutter, "why the fuck--," on a continuous basis. I never thought I would say this but even the titillation got very annoying, very fast.

The entirety of Bayonetta brings to mind 'Springtime for Hitler'.

Bayo1 is too brown and colorless for me to really get into anymore.

I actually liked the story and the world the game is involved with. It was refreshing to see that there were otherworldly forces that impacted the real world. Even if it happened on a secret level. As for the failing a QTE and dying, it sounds to me like you just needed a little more practice.

I'm assuming Bayonetta 2 will get a seperate review and you can fix this by giving that game a 15/10.
