I don't know if I've ever been in total agreement with you like this before. To be honest, it's kind of unnerving.
The base level combat mechanics of Bayonetta were excellent. Beyond that, though, I wanted to burn the rest of the game with fire and have them start over with something that didn't make me mutter, "why the fuck--," on a continuous basis. I never thought I would say this but even the titillation got very annoying, very fast.
The entirety of Bayonetta brings to mind 'Springtime for Hitler'.
