Forums - Microsoft - Ridley Scott's 'Halo' TV show is off to a very, very bad start

I wasn't that interested in this, but perhaps future episodes will be better.

Battlestar Galatica and Eureka

In this day and age, with the Internet, ignorance is a choice! And they're still choosing Ignorance! - Dr. Filthy Frank

The whole "all-in-one" strategy was bad so of course this show would be as it is apart of the original X1 vision.

They're not battlestar galactica material but at least they have some actual sci-fi stuff in there. The last season of Fringe was interesting too.
Terra nova, Under the dome, Defiance, Sanctuary, Warehouse 13, V, The last ship, Extant all do nothing for me.

Ascension might be good. That's the kind of sci-fi I like. November 24.

Thanks for the heads up about Ascension, i didn't know about that one. Will be keeping an eye on it.

Simple logic: If the source material is no good, then a TV adaption is unlikely to be good.

This show is so bad I'm buying a PS4.

Doesn't sound very good but then again TV critics dont know shit.

The last critically acclaimed show I liked that didn't get much play was Terriers. All the other critically acclaimed shows are crap to me (GOT, Walking Dead, Mad Men etc).

I dont have much faith in TV anymore anyways. When Sons of Anarchy and Justified are gone, there literally wont be anything left I'm interested in.

No one should be hyped for anything from Ridley Scott after the disaster that was Prometheus.

O_O Was it really that bad?

And what about Exodus: Gods and Kings? He's helming that one right?

Yes. I'll put it this way. It's a prequel to Alien. But at the same time, they tried so damn hard to make it play out as NOT a prequel to Alien. And made confusing, BS explinations up in the process. This was due to the script being rewritten during production. Alien 3 did this too. They itnetonally change key details. It was suppose to be the same Jokey ship and people on board from A1. But they go and change everything as some bs convolutioned mess. That wasn't related. I have no faith in Scott anymore.

Welp it's free so I don't really care.
