Lol...no, it's not sad for me. It's sad for Sony. I'm the consumer. They have to convince me to buy it, not vice versa.

Same here.  I own a VITA.  I own a PSP.  I have the games and have access to the games.  But I would have been willing to pay 100 bucks to be able to play those games on a bigger TV.  But when the device is gimped from the start, it looks like Sony isn't even trying. Like this thing is just a cash grab.

Well:

The PSP has TV out and full PSP compatibility, and digital PSX compatibility.

The PSP GO has full screen TV out, and supports a PS3 controller, but is only compatible with digital games.

The original PSP does not have that.  Which is what I have.

Around the Network

PSP TV output wasn't great tbh, from what I remember with my PSP Go (the only PSP I actually liked) it outputted at the native resolution, as a small window on your TV. Though on the plus side, if it was purchased on a PSP Go, you already own it on Vita TV :p

They do seem to be patching most of the main Vita titles for PSTV. I'm curious to see how some of the Vita stuff will hold up on a large TV.I suspect it'll feel as pixelicious as 3DS games do on an XL.

RIP Dad 25/11/51 - 13/12/13. You will be missed but never forgotten.

Yes but then again did anyone expect this to do anything spectacular?

Baby Steps but Spelunky got updated:

PS Vita:

Leadboard replays (including fast forward feature)
Friend ghosts in Daily Challenge
Four-player PSTV support
Misc. fixes

Nice to see single system multiplayer is possible on PSTV.
