Boring, cliched, predictable ending. I'm just happy it's finally over. Part 2 has been a complete disaster.

I really enjoyed the ending.

I hope they show more backstory in upcoming OVA and/or movies.

The Chouji and Karui pairing was way out of left field. I think Kishi focused on the pairings for the final chapter because he wanted to show the new generation taking the torch. I was okay with the last chapter. Yes there was some things that wasn't cleared up. Especially the Orochimaru deal. Maybe the spinoff will set things straight.

I liked it but:

- It felt really, REALLY rushed.
- Those were some of the ugliest kids I have ever seen (as creepy as that sounds) Who thought pale white skin and blond hair was a good idea?
- I would have liked to have seen more interactions between the supporting characters (ino, lee, chouji, etc)

I think it could have benefited from being a much longer chapter (40+), even if it delays it a bit longer.
It was underwhelming, didn't do the series justice (albeit, it was never a super, high quality manga IMO)
I guess the last movie is gonna expand a bit more between chapters 699 and 700.

EDIT: Not a fan of cookie cutter endings. I would have liked to have seen some sort of omnious danger up and ahead and having them start ready for war or something, not just "Peace, peace everywhere"

Im just surprised that it finally ended after all these years. I was in primary school when i first started this series. The ending left me "meh"

Sadly the finale did nothing to try and redeem the past 150 chapters or so of tripe, and ultimately the manga goes down in my books as a massive disappointment, and ultimately not very good, despite the fact that the first 200 chapters or so are some of the best in Manga.

I really hope that they don't try to continue to flog the horse now that it's ended, at least with DBZ there wasn't any real overarching story to it all, Naruto has ended, it's finished, no more.

Anyway hoping that some of the smaller, lesser know manga's out there get big pushes to become more popular as we've had multiple massive series come to a close/closing over the past 2/3 years like Naruto, Kurako no Basket, Bleach within the next year (hopefully, granted its sales have slowed massively), Katekyo and Claymore to name a few.

For those looking for something to read I highly recommend Nanatsu No Taizai (AKA Seven Deadly Sins), Boku No Hero Academia (AKA My hero Academy) and Magi, three excellent mangas at slightly different stages, Boku has only been going for 3/4 months, but it's first volume went on sale this past week and is pretty much sold out, and is likely to be the next big thing as long as the author keeps the quality high (It's about superheros, and many have said it feels like early Naruto), there's been 6 out of 14 or so chapters scanlated sofar. Nanatsu is just beggining to explode in popularity with the Anime just being released, and is a tale about finding the Seven Deadly sins, a group of outlaws said to have supposedly performed an act of treason. Magi is just awesome read it.
